Good. I'd move a D prospect for a Hoffman type player with term, but doesn't sound like that was happening. Definitely glady we didn't do it for an unsigned Kane.

Yeah, having the help now would have been nice. But if we really want Kane, we can try and sign him in July.

I like from the rest of the 31 Thoughts hearing that Anaheim was in on Nash and Jack Johnson, but failed.

True, but they could have flipped the picks though. Either a three way deal or 2 separate trades. Seems like there were lots of buyers and sellers but nothing that fit for the Flames.

Would have been interesting to know what a guy like Brodie would have fetched at the deadline.

Not a rental, top 4 defenceman on a great contract, so more than Stasny or Kane.

The McDonough deal is a little harder to unpack because of Miller being included but he alone is a much more comparable player.
