Better than have him get claimed by LA or the Ducks and just dominate us in the playoffs. Even if he's munching popcorn for us that's better than him in California.

Personally I think he's a pretty clear upgrade on Brouwer, maybe on Hathaway too. Depends if he tries.

Man Chris Stewart is a good depth pickup, but his career high is like 30 points. He is not going to fill the significant scoring gap this team has.

I dont think stewart means we are necessarily done. He will have a 4th line role at best. I bet bt is still looking for a top 6 winger but lets see

The Flames claiming Stewart is meaningless about their pursuit for a guy like Hoffman.

Anyone think Ferland is being traded? Stewart replaces him on the 3rd line...? While Ferland+ fetches us Hoffman/Kane

Ferland to stewart is a pretty significant downgrade. Ferland is like a young stewart right now, with no indication he will have the lack of effort problems that have plagued stewart's career.

I have a hard time envisoning Stewart replacing Brouwer in the lineup, nevermind Ferland. At best this is an upgrade on Lomberg.
