I wonder if this is the last time we ever see a 50 year old playing hockey.
It's amazing.

We all know 50 year olds who are grey, fat, bald, and can hardly walk up stairs (sorry if you're reading this and it feels like I'm personally attacking you). It's amazing to see what can be done at 50.

It's not an attack if it's true. ~sigh~

This is the first year since 1979 that a teammate of Jagr’s is not playing in the Stanley Cup finals.

It could still be technically true, third string goalie for the Rangers is a Keith Kinkaid, who he was a teammate of with the New Jersey Devils.

I think the Devils are the only team I don’t have any recollection of Jagr playing with at all.

Yeah, I took that fact from Twitter but you’re right. Maybe also Greg McKegg?

If the Rangers get in of course. And I suppose someone could argue the point if they are not on the bench.

What about coaching staff, does that count? Anyone that has coached Jagr

Well, the stat I read said teammate. But any coaches on the Avs, Rangers or Bolts that played with or coached Jagr?

Thank you! I didn’t have that kind of research in me, but knew it had to be true somewhere

Gerard Gallant also coached Jagr in Florida, not a teammate but that's still something.

Also interesting, 1986 and 2021 are the only years in that whole group where there wasn't at least one Jagr teammate on the Cup winner.

Rangers forward Greg McKegg was his teammate on the Panthers, so technically not set in stone yet. He's been a healthy scratch in the playoffs, but still. I'm sure Palat has played with him internationally too.

I started to look at that and gave up. Damn Mullen.
