Normally it's annoying and more than a little pathetic of SNET to talk about the Oilers all intermission during a Flames game, however watching everyone cry is just fantastic!

And the time before that, a Hart, two Art Ross, a Pearson, 3 Byng.
Bennett is a player to be patient with. I continue to worry he's being handled incorrectly as he's a guy who missed key developmental time in lesser leagues, first due to an injury in his 18YO season, then due to playing in the NHL as a 19YO, and then being mostly taken off the PP for the last calendar year by Gulutzan and being jerked around with bad linemates.

How do people refrain from slapping Doug Maclean?
The gymnastics to prop up the Coilies. Makes up a score that didn't happen. Just continues talking loudly but none of it means anything really.

I'm still shocked he was hired to run an NHL team. Is anyone surprised that organization was in shambles when he was was let go?

Lets win this in regulation.
We need to adjust to the way the BJ's are playing us coming thru the neutral zone. Dump hard in the corners not around the boards or right on goal.
Then stop backing in on d like we are. Stand these guys up , muck up the neutral zone like they are or do the 1-3-1 .....adjust adjust adjust already.
Making the same zone exit and give it up just inside their blue line is just consistent insanity.
Johnny has to stop trying to do it all himself and guys trying to feed him the puck so he can are defeating the purpose.
Let's do this .....go flames.

Maclean is just sour that no team came calling for him to be a head coach, and he just irks me to no end.

He's playing with Jagr and an excellently seasoned rookie in Jankowski. He's got good linemates now. You're going to have to stop with that excuse.
I should add that I agree with most of what you are saying.

Yeah, but as long as the organization is willing to invest in him, and be patient, you can still end up with an amazing player (look at Backlund). As you point out though, so far they’ve failed him by giving him terrible linemates. Signing Troy Brouwer wasn’t only the biggest mistake of Treliving’s career, it was the worst thing to possibly happen to Sam Bennett’s young career. He was tasked with carrying that 4.5M bad AHL player up and down that ice, and then expected to produce. Meanwhile Brouwer had proven himself to be effective at completely neutering Gaudreau and Monahan...so how logical is it to put him with Bennett and expect Bennett to produce?
Bennett + Janko are starting to build something though, and Bennett looks good on the PK. This line change tonight, to me, is nothing more than Versteeg hauling ass and being one of the few players doing that. As a coach, you need to reward effort like that and it’s good that GG is.

I had no complaint about Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr. I meant in general over the last 100+ games.

Agreed no excuses for Bennett but at the same time I'm willing to be patient with him. I mean Janko played 4 years in college and 1+ in the AHL and now we're just seeing what he's about. Im thinking this is an important development year for Bennett and he just needs to breathe, he's trying to do everything imo.
*Edit* Also he wasn't great in his first year in the O but his second he was stellar. I'm thinking a similar NHL trend although with it being a tough league it could be a longer realization potentially.

and they’ve been a good line since getting put together, and the team has been good. Happy times right now.

Game not as lobsided as the shots show. Flames are missing the net like mad and a Torts coached team is going to block shots.
