I was actually referring to the want to take off Brodie. Another passive aggressive attack on me from you.

I'm glad it's not complete river hockey for a change, but boy that first PP unit really underwhelmed on the man advantage after their performance two days ago. Keep it simple boys. Caps must have closely studied the Philly game. Also just bad east-west passing in the neutral zone.
Second unit actually came close finally. Jagr and Tkachuk help to have around the net.
Overall decent 20. Skated with the Caps fine.

Our PP really struggles to improvise whenever a play goes even slightly wrong. They don't seem to have a plan B outside of the puck carrier trying to do it all himself.

I agree that there was zone time on the PP by both units but were there any dangerous chances?
Compared to the Caps with point blank slot chances by Oshie and Chiasson.
To me CGY PP has appearance of good play with a bunch of passes but they don't generate anything dangerous. Last game's 3 PPG were not indicative of consistently getting dangerous looks but of fortuitous bounces and loose pucks that fell just right.

Overall, I like the lines that Gulutzan decided to use today. Since the Flames are healthy, this is pretty close to their optimal lineup IMO.
I do wish they'd replace Brodie for Hamilton on the PP, but at least Brodie is good at getting it in/keeping it in the zone. I just wish he had a better shot.
The Flames look pretty good today. The power play doesn't look bad. I'm not complaining about the reffing either...
I love seeing Johnny continue his point streak.
A 100 point season from him + a bottom 5 finish for the Oilers = Great season. Especially with the Flames in a playoff spot.
Can't complain, really.

Solid road period. Flames still look pretty sloppy defensively at times, which makes me nervous every time the puck is in our zone. They do look slightly improved from the last game though. Baby steps.
During the intermission the Caps broadcast team were talking about how awesome Johnny is. It's like the bizarro world/mirror universe from the typical SN broadcast where they salivate over McDavid.

Versteeg is one of the more interesting interviews on the team. Always has good insights and avoids the cliche answers.

Freddie Hamilton plays D? You made a ridiculous post. Nobody wants to break up the pp so dramatically that we would have Freddie and Kulak on it.
