Malkin was inconsistent but had some big games, Crosby was beast playing both ends of the ice.
Crosby was an easy pick.

Final thought: Hopefully this puts an end to the ridiculous tradition of conference winners not touching the trophy. Pens picked it up last two years - two Stanley Cups

Malkin had more points, goals and a better +/-. He also took over when Crosby was concussed. That said I don't have a problem with Crosby winning, he played great.
It was a very close call for MVP this season since the Pens had so many contributions. Their 1st round MVP was Crosby, 2nd round was Fleury, 3rd round was Malkin, and finals was Murray.

Correct. Bettman mentioned it when he was handing out the cup but you might not have heard it over the booing.
