Figured he'd be a part of the Wideman replacement strategy, but now we have to put up with him AND Wideman? This is going to be a turdshow
Why would he replace our 5th best D-man versus our 6th or 7th?

I'd really rather have all the usual suspects playing our 5-6 along with a few tries from the farm than Wideman take another shift. I was hoping that Bartkowski would just be another bullet in the chamber, rather than trying to find a pair for Dennis

The problem with thinking that is you for thinking it, that was never going to happen.

I'm confused why some people here are confused that Bart and Wideman will play together. This team is dead set on using Wideman every game. Just gonna have to sit through another 2 months of Wideman. Least he is out of the top 4. As for Bart, hopefully he had made improvements in his decision making since last season. Was hoping he might be paired with Brodie because I don't think him and Wideman will be good at all. We will see

No it is, it's more evidence that Jokipakka is absolutely ####ing awful. As bad or worse than Wideman with fewer minutes and lesser competition.

Totally disagree. I'd play Jokipakka over this year's Wideman every single time.... no doubt in my mind.

Joki has been brutal, I'd argue he makes even more mistakes than Wideman. Both are bad options and arguing about who is better is pointless. Both are bad

It's all about context. If Wideman was a younger player, taking every few games off, on the 3rd pairing, and with a much more palatable contract, he wouldn't be getting close to the same hate that he's getting now.

Totally agree, and people need to start understanding that you have look at things through the right lens. For example this statement: Wideman is the biggest issue with our D group.

Is True if it means - he is the most overpaid contract and doesn't deliver the value he should for the cap space he eats.

Is True if it means - him at the #4 spot is the biggest upgrade this team needs to make.

But is False if it means- he's the worst dman on the roster and should immediately come out when you acquire or call up a new D man.
