I also got a haircut today and ate a chicken salad sandwich for lunch. Does that mean I have to also do that every gameday until the Flames lose? The sandwich isn't a problem, but I might run out of hair to cut.

I think Bouma has played very well this year but I really like how Tkachuk looked on a line with Backlund and Frolik. He got a lot of good chances, was strong around the net, and has two really god guys to learn from. Plus with the way the fourth line has been playing it isn't exactly a demotion for Bouma, just more powah on that line.
I think the biggest thing I noticed tonight was respect for defense. A few times there were plays where I expected the D to jump up and force the play but instead they calmly backed off and were ready for the counter attack.. end result, no odd man rushes. That being said there were also times they activated very well, like seriously I still can't believe Engellend scored that goal!
Great game all around, I really hope this is the "system" they've been talking about!

The biggest problem with Bouma is that he can provide something this team needs and they need him for that, but he's such a big possession anchor and that doesn't look like that's ever going to change. That's probably the way he'll always be, for better or worse.
I think a big reason why he's such an anchor possession wise is because he does not hold onto the puck very well and doesn't have enough offensive skill to be that kind of player.
No matter which line or who he plays with, it seems unfortunately that he is a big reason why his line sinks his possession wise when he plays more often than not.
Gotta take the good with the bad regarding Bouma because he can provide something for this team that good advanced stats cannot appreciate, and at least it's much better having him as our worst possession anchor because at least he can play NHL calibre hockey as opposed to Brandon Bollig who can't play a regular NHL shift at all.

3 wins 5 losses.
Or do OT losses not count? I've never known since the silly 3 point system.

3-4-1 is one game under .500 because .500 is now determined by games you get points in, not straight win/loss.

Nope. Just beat the Hawks and the Blues convincingly on the road. Flames are good again for tonight.
