You never want to be the sith lord, you always want to be the sith apprentice lurking in the shadows.

I thought it was way too early for Jay to pull a move like this.

a Gen Xer you dont vote out today is a Gen Xer that would vote against you with one less Millennial to vote in your favor

I'm sure the producers arent liking this either. Michaela would've made for better TV in the merge

I'm glad they aren't in charge of the votes. If we got the show the producers wanted every season it would be pretty boring.

I don't think we are going to see strong tribal lines after the merge. To many individuals plying their own game. Gen X doesn't have much unity left, and half of the millennial tribe couldn't plot their way out of a coconut.

Producers want it anything but boring. Explosive confrontations at camp is what they want so they could elude to the confrontations in the previews and string it along further at the tribal council. Michaela would've delivered more with that in the merge and beyond. It just felt kinda wasted when it was contained just to one tribal council.

Given the reactions here, Michaela wouldve brought more ratings too. Brett and Sunday? not so much

Well, that was an interesting back and forth episode.

Adam was playing WAY too hard, and he's trying to play both sides. That's going to burn him, I think. Hannah had it right. He's got to pick one. It was interesting to see him trust that he didn't need to use the idol, though.

I like that advantage. Talk about one that could rip up or cement alliances. I wonder if Immunity is considered a 'reward'?

I loved the stunned/stupid look on Jay's face when Michelle got up after getting voted out.

It was kinda weird being 'our' first player out...now I'm not sure who I want to win or am cheering for, but I'm kinda liking Zeke's game right now. I was liking Adam's game to this episode...but with as hard as he's playing and trusting Taylor (who can't seem to keep his mouth shut) he doesn't seem to have the sound judgement I thought he did.

Did that Immunity Challenge seem odd to anyone else? Didn't it seem like some of those buckets just dipped over without the player actually moving? Maybe it was just camera angles or something? Some of those bucket tips seemed a bit fishy.

I hope Adam doesn't get smug after this, he was starting to get on my nerves this episode.

Kinda hoping Jay can turn it around and make it interesting, otherwise the next few boots are pretty predictable.

Immunity definitely doesn't count as a reward.

I thought he was an idiot for not using his idol, but apparently he knew what he was doing.

That was a great vote. Those guys were waaay to cocky, good to see a little comupance. Not that Michele deserved to be taken out, but I get why they did it that way. Wil clinched it when he needed it.

Agree that Adam was gaming way to hard, he dodged a bullet there. Zeke is great, I'd like to see the "wierdo" alliance go far. It seams to be the only one surviving the merge that isn't entirely based on the original tribe.

Why do they get rid of Michelle and not Taylor in that situation?

They thought Taylor might have an idol or that Jay would give him one. They figured Michelle was so out of the blue but definitely on their side that they would never think to protect her.

The really unusual outage of a person trying to play the layback and don't make waves strategy.

I don't know if Adam is going to be able to survive the cross hairs that he's put on himself, he's going to have to win at least one immunity over the next couple of weeks.

Agree with CC, Adam has a massive target on his back now. People aren't going to want to work with someone that flip flops like that.

michelle didn't seem to be laying back to me at all, I had identified her as a snake by the second or third episode.

Or he is viewed as someone that can be turned in order to make a power move.

I think that's an enviable position, especially if you know you have an idol, being courted by both teams to swing a vote either way.

I really didn't think that Adam was over playing by talking to Taylor, I thought he was just playing a bad game. And there is a difference. He went to Taylor, a guy he knew was against him for voting out Figgy, and revealed a massive secret. I understand why he did it, but it was a bad move and a mistake. He wasn't playing to hard there, he was just playing bad. It bothered me when he made that comment in his interview.

It was a good strategy to get rid of Michaela when they did. She would be tough in individual immunity and if voted out after the merge she would make it very difficult for the person voting her out to win. Adam made the right move last episode but overplayed big time. He could have a target on his back but I think the Taylor/Jay combo gets targetted next. Taylor is such a dummy it wouldn't surprise me if they went for Jay first.

It was still too early to get rid of Michaela.

Had they kept her, the Merge would've looked like this:

Millennials (8):
Jay, Taylor, Will, Michelle, Hannah, Zeke, Adam and Michaela

Gen X (5):
Chris, Sunday, Ken, Jessica and David

Brett would've been voted out, Hannah would not have felt betrayed as she would've stuck by Michaela and Michaela would've voted with Jay and Will. Zeke would've defected anyways to Gen X but Adam may not. Millennials could've voted out Adam and still have the numbers over the Gen X

Instead, we have this going into the Merge:

Millennials (7):
Jay, Taylor, Will, Michelle, Hannah, Zeke and Adam

Gen X (6):
Chris, Sunday, Ken, Jessica, David and Brett

Trying to get Adam out in this scenario didnt make any sense and they would've been going forward with a 6 vs 6.

Anyways, I dont feel bad for the Millennials as getting rid of Michaela was a bad move and trying to get rid of Adam was an even worse move.
I hope Jay or Taylor is next

Neat episode tonight.

I liked that reward challenge. It was clearly never even going to be close, though. As soon as Jeff said "And you drag this box under a rope net.." and then showed the teams, I knew orange wasn't even going to get close.

I was amused by Will's reasoning for skipping the challenge. Looking at it like that, makes total sense to me.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something with Sunday's dislike of Jess. Kinda feels like it came out of left field.

That was very well played of Taylor during Tribal. Got right under Adam's skin and put him on the angry defensive. Too bad it didn't work.

Wondered for a few moments there if they were gonna vote Jay off. I have to admit, had I been in his place, I may have felt his confidence, too. With the interplay (that we saw, at any rate) between Adam and Taylor, I may have felt it was going to be a vote between that pair and held my idol.

With Taylor leaving, Hockey and Regulator75 join me on the bench.

Prettt entertaining tribal council tonight, loved that Taylor spilled everything on the way out. Adam annoys me. They might've gotten Adam voted out if they spilled this info before tribal council, voting plans usually don't change in the middle of tribal.

Good move by Jay to keep the idol. Since he voted for Taylor, he knew he was likely safe and didn't need to play it.

Sunday suddenly going after Jess is out of nowhere. The show should have built up more of a story between the two to make it seem less random.

Looks like Will might screw Jay next week by telling Zeke about the idol.

Oh and Michelle looked amazing on the jury.
