lighten up people.
This is a celebration of the Hip. It's nostalgic to see one of the best cultural icons of our generation in their last show.
A little levity isn't a bad thing at times like this.

I wonder, if they're doing Day For Night stuff, will they play Inevitability of Death?

I don't know all the details. My wife's cousin and her husband went to the Pearl Jam concert (wore their Hip shirts there) and Eddie Vedder said some nice things about Gord and then dedicated Light Years to him. Her cousins mentioned it on Facebook.

I'm glad they're still going, but "It's been a pleasure doing business with you" would have been a great ending.

The Tragically Hip were one of the things I readily identified as missing when i traveled abroad. It seemed like if you ever needed some Can Con you could find their music on several different stations - from CJAY to even the light music stations.
I recall a TV montage more than 10 years ago with his fans and one person the group as being led by an eccentric genius. It fits.
i'm glad he was able to do this tour. I've really enjoyed this final concert more than I thought I would.
