Anywhere it can jump it has. The northwestern communities are also being effected. As of 5 minutes ago the Timberlea and Thickwood communities are reporting damage.

yeah, unfortunately they really just have no idea yet how complete the evacuation was and it won't be until later until any potential fatalities are truly known. Considering the transient nature of some of the likely residents, I wonder if the existence of some of them in the town is even known.

So 30,000 people they have no idea where they have evacuated to. Or if some people are still stuck in the city.

Unfortunately they are likely operating on small amounts of information at this point. Hopefully everyone got out, but it's hard to think that everyone was able to, and there are always some who would rather not leave as stupid as it sounds.

yikes ... it seems like that is the larger part of town. If it's in that area now, and still uncontrolled, this could be an apocalyptic level disaster

Acey (or others), can you comment on which airplanes are heading up there to pick people up from the various operator strips? Is it just their chartered planes?

So for all the helicopters, answer is no. Not sure about the tablet bombers.

Will this effect the air quality in Calgary or is it too early to know what way the wind will push it?

Can't believe hearing that Timberlea and Thickwood are burning. Those are massive new communities. Used to live up there. Just hammers home for me how massive of a rebuilding effort this is going to be. ****

Wind forecasts seems to be a pretty strong eastward direction for tomorrow. Which is the worst possible thing for FMM, but I don't think it would blow anything down this way.
