Keith's actions were no worse that Kadri's that just him a 4 game suspension. Because of Keith's previous history, an infraction that would have got him 3-4 games if he had no history earned him double: 5 regular season games + 1 playoff game (which the NHL counts as 2 regular season games).

They are both ridiculous actions, and both got too little of a suspension.

It's the definition of intent to injure.

Is the part about playoffs vs regular season written in the rules somewhere that I'm not aware of?

Because I can't feel that a one handed swat from flat on his back indicated premeditation, unless, Keith PLANNED to get high sticked to the chops, and have his legs jerked out from under him, before making his move on Charlie Coyle, the FIRST guy on the Wild you plot against! That is some pretty devious advanced planning!

It's not an argument that Keith should have been suspended less, but that Kadri should have been suspended more.

NHL wheel of justice is unpredictable though.
