The Old Republic has massive story content.
Individual Stories, each are fairly massive
Jedi Knight - "Tracking down the imminent threat of the Sith Emperor, trying to find out what his plans are and stop them"
Jedi Councilor - Jedi Knights are going insane, its up to you to track down why, this leads to a plot against the Republic by the "Children of the Emperor"
Smuggler - "You're ships been stolen, you love that ship, you even named it. Also there's a treasure out there that needs finding"
Republic Trooper - "You're a member of an elite Republic Special Forces Group, suddenly they betray you and the Repbulic, you need to track them down before they gift a super weapon to the Empire that could defeat the Republic"
Sith Warrior - "You are a young Sith Warrior who uncovers a plot by your master to depose the Emperor and take his place. You're master betrays you, and as the emperor's wraith you want to hunt him down and stop him and gain your revenge on him"
Sith Inquisitor - "You are a slave, but you are force sensitive. You are bought to Korriban to train, however you are looked down on and discounted at every turn, and betrayed as well. This story is about the pure scrabble for power in the Empire"
Bounty Hunter - "You are just a man trying to make a living in the galaxy as a bounty hunter. Every year there is a event called the Great Hunt in which you compete to win the ultimate prize. A list of the most lucrative bounties in the galaxy"
Imperial Agent - "There is a rebellion brewing in the Empire, its up to you to infiltrate it and destroy if from within, but this betrayal goes to the highest level of the empire and a shadowy cabal that opposses the Empire and the Republic. Gain information, gain power gain freedom.
After you finish your personal story line there are a bunch of individual stories that all characters can do
Rise of the Hutt Cartel - The Hutts have invaded the world of Makeb and started mining? What are they looking for and how can you stop the Hutts from becoming a power in the galaxy
The Dread Masters - The Emporers favorite and most dangerous Sith Lords are the Dread Masters, incredibly powerful Sith who use fear to conquor. Witht he Emperor defeated the Dread Masters set out to reform the galaxy through fear and suffering and its up to you to stop them.
The Rise of Revan - Revan went missing 300 years ago, captured and imprisoned by the Emperor, then released and defeated when he decided to fight a war of genocide against the Sith Emperor. Now a mysterious figure has appeared leading an army of Revanites, their goal is to destroy the Empire and the Republic who form into a shaky coalition. Their goal and the goal of the master is unclear.
Rise of the Emperor - "The Sith Emperor is back and its up to you to find out what the ultimately powerful incorporal master of the Dark Side wants"
Knights of the Fallen Empire - "With Revan gone, the search for the Emperoor continues with you working with elements of the Empire and the Republic ro hunt down Vitiate and end his threat to all life in the galaxy. During the search you are attacked by a massive fleet and defeated. You are taken in front of Emperor Valkorian who is the head of the Eternal Empire, a Empire located deep in the Rishi Maze. The Empire gives you a choice, you can kneel before him and he will share his power with you or you can die. At that moment the emperor's son betrays and kills his father and blames you. You are frozen in carbonite. When you are rescued five years later, the Empire and Republic lie in ruins, your companions are gone and with the exception of one old friend you are alone against the powerful Eternal Empire and its Emperor Arcann.
There are probably a few hundred hours of stories that can be played.
