I've watched most John Scott interviews that I can find.
I'm now convinced that it will be 5 minutes after he retires before the offers start coming for TV gigs. He is a great interview, sincere, well spoken. There are no platitudes and no canned answers.
He might be the best hockey interview in the game right now.

That would have been amazing on so many levels.
That would honestly have been the highlight of the weekend for me.

The guy is well spoken. I really enjoy his interviews. Lots of honest answers, and not canned, cliche hockey answers. It's a real contrast between say him and a guy like Ryan Smyth lol.

Oh, goodie.
I loved this article and love the fact that it has revealed a very likeable side to John Scott. But I am still pissed that the plug is taking up a roster spot on the Pacific Div. team that I am genuinely interested in watching in today's tournament. Unfortunately, because the team is already handicapped by having a spare part on one of their lines, I can't imagine them playing in more than one game today.

Christine Simpson @SNChrisSimpson
Pacific Division coach Darryl Sutter says all his players have asked to play at least a shift with John Scott. Same for Jagr in Atlantic.

I don't like Taylor Hall either, but man, that's harsh!
The worst thing he did was when he want after Phil Kessel, got what he deserved in that case
I promise you he scores some goals tomorrow too, players look out for each other...he will be setup and maybe Lou or someone lets him get an easy one or the D lets up just a bit
Say what you will about the fans using Scott as the butt of a joke, those same fans got him $125,000 worth of cash and car bonus. Worth over 1/4 of his salary.
Tonight was probably his swan song, and likely also the official end for the traditional enforcer. But what a way to go.

A family friend from New Zealand has never watched a hockey game before. He tuned in to the ASG festivities with his family and friends (think classic Super Bowl party) because he saw on Facebook the whole John Scott hullabaloo. He has confirmed 4 subscriptions to Gamecenter or Center Ice from the group that was at his house and 3 more who are looking into it.
Granted the lot of them are going to be disappointed once they see all the games aren't 3v3, but apparently one of the guys at the party has seen a hockey game or two and told them the game is usually a little slower and played at 5v5.
Say what you want about John Scott and his career, but this whole ordeal has been a boon for the NHL itself. They just earned over $700 from one party alone.
