Being a fan of the Panthers has ZERO impact on my being a Flames fan. Different conferences and they play each other twice a year.
If the Flames were playing decent hockey I would be really into the games. Sadly, they're playing uninspired and bland hockey, which makes losing all the more unpalatable.
I still follow the Flames FAR more than I follow the Panthers.

Just got in and watching the game in Austin on GameCenter really makes you appreciate our hometown commentators. JG just put in a stupidly sick goal and the guy talked like it was a nice golf shot.

I don't get that kind of thing. My Grandfather and Dad was a huge were huge Nordiques/ Avalanche fans . My Mom is a Bruins fan.
I heard alot about both teams growing up but never had any feelings towards either teams. We all are pretty competitive tho. We all just cared about our own team and wanted them to do better then each others.
