Whats the issue with skating by the bench? I can understand its a 6-0 game but it's about a team congratulating a teammate so I don't see how its rubbing it in or being disrespectful. Bennett also had zero celebration after he scored the goal which to me shows way more class and respect. I got no issue either way but I can't recall ever seeing a player not skate by the bench.
Already been answered, but I just want to add how it reiterates the pure class of Bennett and the leadership of Wideman.
So happy I made the trip and was there. Shame on the folks who left early and didn't stay to show their appreciation to the young lad after the ice hockey match.
No celebration after the goal when its your 4th of the night and a really pretty play says it all. I guess not skating by the bench is a nice touch but Bennett's action after the goal are what I found impressive in that situation. I do agree it was likely the time of the game for why it happened. If it was 10 minutes left probably not.
Unbelievable game! Its funny, I told my buddy that I'd buy a Gaudreau jersey if he scored a hat trick, kinda happy he didn't cause I probably shouldn't go blow 200 bucks on another Flames jersey but now maybe I should get a Bennett jersey?

What I saw was DW say, "Don't skate back to the bench, just start at center", to which Bennett replied "Okay". I got the impression the DW was saying it to all the guys in in that group.

Hi AC, I'm requesting a vid for the Sportsnet segment where they highlighted the battle of Brodie vs Jagr. Showed a lot of clips of Brodie handling the puck with Jagr pressuring hard, and eventually Jagr starts showing signs of frustration. I'm a sucker for Brodie recognition.
It was I believe with Roger Millions talking before the 3rd period started.
