In Alberta it won't have much of an effect but in Ontario, where you are required to pass emissions testing when you register your vehicle, you will need to provide proof this was fixed.

FBI arrests Volkswagen executive on charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States over emissions cheating

Volkswagen’s management board was informed about the “existence, purpose and characteristics” of an emissions cheating device in July 2015, and chose not to disclose it to United States regulators, a court filing on Monday showed.

“In the presentation, VW employees assured VW executive management that U.S. regulators were not aware of the defeat device,” the complaint said.

“Rather than advocate for disclosure of the defeat device to U.S. regulators, VW executive management authorized its continued concealment.”

Weird, either they JUST updated the satellite photo or it's the wrong location. All I see is lots of salt and empty lots.

Ok, super weird if I use a different browser, I am getting different image. Location is correct. Chrome seems to show the cars, Firefox they are all GONE!

Figured it out, it is the 3D earth view that doesn't show them. The flat 2D image shows them. If you click on the three bars in the upper left hand corner and select 3d off, the image changes. 3D image looks like the older of the two.

If you turn off 3D in Google Maps, they all show up.
