Defense:
From LastWordOnSports:
Rasmus Andersson is a major boom or bust pick here. He has the offensive ability to be the top defencemen on an NHL powerplay if he continues to develop. However there are some big questions about his defensive game. The tools are there in his skating and quickness, but he has some issues to work on. His game can be reminiscent of a cross between Erik Karlsson and Keith Yandle, but this is a style comparison only and not one based on talent.

Andersson was one on my list. Happy with the pick. Great numbers too. Solid pick! Surprised he was still there.

According to Mckenzie - Andersson's NHL comparable is Wideman. Needs to work on his agility and quickness according to his report.

Risk/reward. That's fine because we have brodie and Hamilton. Future: Hamilton, Brodie, Morrison, Wotherspoon, Andersson and Hickey

Craig Button had Anderson ranked 33.

This is a pick that I think is a good one. If his issues are playing in his own end and on the defensive side he'll probably have a solid chance to turn that around in this franchise with Hartley, Gio, Brodie, Hamilton etc., willing to teach him the ropes. If they can't turn him in to a solid D propsect then there probably wasn't hope for him. I like the kids chances to excell with the flames.

Kabanov was an absolute goof, is Kylington really THAT bad? If so I hope we stay far far away.

I doubt he'll play with those guys without learning the defensive game in the AHL. It'll be interesting to see him in July in Calgary.
