The same lineup Brendan? Really? Did you watch the Stoke match? It was brutal.

I have to assume that hes doing this because he thinks it should be an easy win, but I'd rather see the strongest XI starting together and finding some chemistry.

I mean, Moreno/Firmino/Can should probably be in over Gomez/Lallana/Milner/Ibe.

Bah! This is going to be another long season.

Gomez, Milner, and Ibe were all very good in preseason and pretty deserving of their starts. Firmino apparently isn't match fit yet, I'm sure we'll see him start soon.

Anyways, got the win today. Hasn't been pretty, but it's 6 points out of 6.

Its interesting so far, Liverpool and United have put on two absolutely dismal displays thus far but have escaped with all 6 points.

Balotelli to Watford?

Liverpool are going to take a fantastic bath on that one.

No kidding.

Chelsea are scooping them to Pedro which is a fantastic buy. I wish Liverpool had bought him. Hes basically guaranteed goals.

Hes fallen a long way, but for either of these clubs this might be a great buy.

The Premier League has taken the unusual step of admitting referee Craig Pawson made a game-deciding mistake when his blunder allowed Christan Benteke's offside goal to stand in Liverpool's win over Bournemouth on Monday.
In a further embarrassment, they have also written to all 20 Premier League clubs just two weeks into the season to clarify the new worldwide interpretations of the offside law.
They sent out a graphic, using a stick-man drawing, to explain the rules relating to 'interfering with an opponent', after Philippe Coutinho attempted unsuccessfully to play the ball from an offside position in the build-up to Benteke's goal.
Must have been bring a kid to work day in the graphics department.

I didnt see this game, only the highlights, but that 1-0 Liverpool win should likely have been a 1-0 Bournemouth win.

If Bournemouth go down by 3 points or less.....wow...

Three games played.
One own goal and one deflected goal scored.
Joint top of the table.

Pedro gets a goal and an assist in his first 30 minutes of PL football. Sigh.

I'm glad City got that win against Everton at Goodison. I dont think Liverpool are in the same stratosphere as City this season, hell, no one might be, but we might be in direct competition with Everton come the end.

Not too terribly upset or anything, I didnt get to watch but by looking at the boxscore we might have had the chance to nick it.

Ah well, I'll take a point from Arsenal away.

Was crazy that game ended goalless. Cech made 2 unbelievable saves and Mignolet had one himself. Both sides had a post and numerous moments where they looked like they'd score. Arsenal really turned it on towards the end and ran the play for the last 15-20.

7 pts and 3 clean sheets to start the season. We haven't played great, and again got lucky on an offside call today, but hard to argue with the results thus far.
