They are usually pretty much out of the race by game 10.

I like that players downplayed their injuries and bumps and bruises.
IMO shows character that they don't want to use it as an excuse or cop out at the end of the season.

He's playing Ryan Getzlaf. The best in the world struggle with that matchup. Even Kesler...
Monahan is 20 years old. Now he knows just how good he needs to be.

Ohhh so that's why I see them getting subs together all the time. Cool the first time, creepy the fifth.

Was at Local for dinner...from what I could see all were there other than Ferland (all the drinking around I assume) and Hudler (maybe he was there and left early?).
They were enjoying themselves, good to see them have one last night together to celebrate the season...when you talked to them about the season, sure they enjoyed the moment but you could tell that they were eager to follow it up to prove everyone next year it wasn't a fluke.
Side note, Diaz, I hope he's back he is the funniest character with a few drinks in him haha.

Was about to ask Gaudreau if he was drinking underage. Keep forgetting he's not 12

I imagine Ferland is used to drinking around him, or at least, he will have to get used to it.
Hudler was a no-show for interviews - I'm not even sure he was there at all. Given his injury status was the most speculated on, I was a little unhappy not to get some more info.

Hudler was dealing with back and neck issues as per Treliving.

Yeah, I heard that, but it's pretty vague. Sore neck versus broken neck is a wide range.
Mostly what I'd like to know is about long term effects, if surgery is needed (I actually like that Colborne is getting wrist surgery, which I think will help him immensely next year).

Oh and Backlund...same answer when I asked him about his OT goal, biggest moment in his NHL career and was really tempted to do the Fleury but just couldn't because said he was nowhere near his calibre.

Does anyone know if it's Colborne's previously injured wrist that is going for surgery or if it's the other one?

He was going to see a specialist about that. I believe that is what was said yesterday.
