Would have been awesome if every single one of them had a cowbell for a noise maker.

I was there before game 1. I'll be going again before game 2.
Lots of Flames fan there last game drinking before the game. It's only 2 blocks away from Rogers Arena.

Be safe guys,
A big concern I have for my fellow Flame fans, is that Canuck fans can be quite violent and physical after a loss. I wouldn't put it past many Canuck fans to dump beer and/or popcorn on you after a loss, and I'm almost completely confident that the Flames are going to win big tonight.
Have fun at the game tonight but please be safe. Vancouver is not a safe place for opposing teams' hockey fans.

This isn't an Oakland Raiders game. Once again, if you don't act like a dbag, you'll be fine. I attended game 1 in a Flames jersey with zero altercations. I walked back to my office, including going down an alley, and all I heard were cheers from Flames fans on the street. Not one peep was made to me.
I'll be there again tonight, and I look forward to the C of Red invading Vancouver.

Canucks fans are basically like Oakland Raiders fans.
You weren't assailed after Game 1 since it's only Game 1, but as the series goes further and it becomes more and more evident that the Canucks won't win, I think we'll see more violence and threats towards opposing fans. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

They city barely even cares that the Canucks are playing right now, totally different vibe than '04 or even the next 7 years after. The Canucks simply aren't a huge deal in Vancouver anymore, until they get some round two and further playoff runs going.

That actually could be a very strong case against my argument, and one that I'd be willing to side with.
Vancouverites are completely ungrateful for what they have. Maybe their franchise should relocate like Winnipeg did so that they can finally appreciate what they have.
Also, I'd argue that Canuck fans cared for 8 years after 04'. They cared in 2012 since they thought their core still had a shot, but stopped caring after the LA loss. The fans and team had nothing left against the Sharks the following year.

While I generally have a rule of avoiding wandering around Van in a Flames jersey, (because I don't enjoy inviting the heckling) I don't honestly think it's much of an issue.
Don't be a large-diameter d-hole and your chances of running into violence are no higher than wandering around Calgary on a Friday night IMO.
Maybe a different story in the SCF, but first round in a city where nobody cares anymore not as much.

I've been rocking my Brodie jersey all day. The only comments have been positive ones and everyone else has just ignored me
