Flames get a huge break here with the PP being broken up over the intermission. The team on the PP are usually not able to get any flow going when the next period starts.

Not a great period. Hiller lets in a soft goal as Flames goaltenders do on a nightly basis. Zero offensive push as usual against the Blues. To top if off Bollig has probably put the Flames in a deep hole giving the Blues a 3 minute powerplay to start the 2nd period.

How are some of us CPers surprised that was a penalty. He was bleeding and had his head slammed into the glass, exactly what rules are supposed to prevent.
