"try" that? I don't think he's "trying" anything other than laying the body on someone. They bitch out and try and get out of the way at the last second, the result is they get their legs tangled. He's not sticking his knee out or anything.

Both times Bouma has been skating in a straight line not sticking his leg out, its the other players trying to dodge the hit the lead to the knees

Looking at the replay, it looked like Bouma didn't alter his path. Hartnell tried to get out of the way and left his leg behind.

Letting one team get away with murder will do that. Now they'll start tightening things up to try and regain control and that plays right to the Jackets advantage given how the game is going.
