Just to go a bit further with this, in the last 3 games, these two have totalled the following:

TOI: 177:06

Blocked shots: 39

Points: 9

So as a pair, they have AVERAGED 59 minutes, 13 BLS, and 3 points per game

Watching it on PVR. This is absolute gold.. GOLD, I tell you.

Going from "Flames are looking forward to the plane ride home", "Flames are trying, but the game is well in hand"...to (4-1) *chuckling* "There's some belief on the Flames bench".."well, that's the Flames"..10 minutes later at 4-4.."Unbelievable! There are no words!"

The bench reactions..players looking confident and determined after the FIRST goal (they freaking knew, at that point!)..to players jumping up and down when we tie it. Seen nothing like that since '04.

Amazing.....

Giordano has passed on his divine powers to Russell, clearly. He was a majestic beast out there. Multi goal period after one goal all year!

My admiration for Kris Russell just grows with every game. Gio has big shoes to fill, but Russ is stepping into them better than I ever expected. What he did in the third period tonite was inspirational.

One week ago most hockey fans outside of a Calgary and many inside of Calgary thought the Flames chances at making the playoffs were hooped.

I dare say after tonite, most fans inside of a Calgary and many outside now are thinking the Flames can still make the playoffs. And the Flames themselves now know nothing is impossible.

These last 16 games are gonna be fun.

Hudler had his 4th consecutive 2 point game

In the last 4 games:

Hudler: 4G 4A
Gaudreau: 1G 3A
Monahan: 3G 2A

On a side note, how impressive was Gaudreau's pass on Russell's second goal? He just sees the game on another level. I won't be surprised if he has a 90 point season or better.

Hey just as a Canucks fan I have to honestly say how impressed I am with the Flames and with Johnny Hockey.

I am rooting for the Flames just cause I want to see a Canucks Flames playoffs, assuming the Canucks can even hold on to their spot. But too see the Flames and Jets doing so well, I couldn't be happier.

It's too bad they couldn't pull out the win, but still a huge point!

Good luck the rest of the way!

Listening to the Backlund interview post game. One of the things Hartley said in the second intermission to the team was:

Paraphrasing

"If there's anybody that can come back from 4-0 in the third period, its us"

So simple, yet so effective.

Boblieve.

Hartley is absolutely knocking it out of the park this season.

Seriously.

Well, at the risk of offending some posters here, as a Flames fan living in BC, I am also pulling for a Flames-Canucks first round match-up.

We all know what happens when they meet in the playoffs, and rivalries are good fun.

I was saying to my boy today that we need Flames Canucks playoff series. I do think the Flames would win in 6 just because of their work ethic, but it would be so fun it really would.

I'm a Flames supporter until the playoffs. Then the Hate is back on but unti then, go Flames go!!

I think a CGY-VAN series would go 7, with Vancouver jumping out to something like a 3-1 game lead, and the Flames storming back in Flames fashion to push it all the way to OT in game 7, with a Bouma or Jooris goal winning the series. Can totally see it.

Flames have taken a page out of the Kings' book from the past few years. They do the improbable when their backs are against the wall, through unwavering confidence and determination.

I get legit goosebumps when I hear Hartley's post game comments (even after losses). Never quit, 100% buy in from everyone and no excuses. Hartley = Jack Adams.
