I am so sick of this. It is not Glencross' fault that Calgary lost 1-0 so give it a rest. I know everybody in here hates the guy but it's not fair to blame the guy all the time. Besides he'll be gone before this weekend or by Monday. Makes me wonder who the heck people will pick on every single play or single game when Glencross gets traded. So I guess when Flames lose Hartley is not a smart coach but when the team wins he's a genius. I am not defending Glencross or whatever but a lot of posters here seems to blame just one guy because they hated this person so much.

And I hope you realize the only reason the Flames are even fighting for a playoff spot is because of Hartley.
Back to the main story at hand.. The refs effed us up the A. We just needed 1 goal and deserved at least 2 powerplays which would of driven momentum.

I'll except your compliment of Emma Watson , TY . But let me tell you something , if the coach was SO GOOD , we would be winning . It takes excellent hockey players to win at the professional level . Obviously you know more about hockey then I do . Yes the refs did choke , what can we do about it .... NOTHING ! So , let's play a full 60 minutes like we played our last 5 minutes of last nights game..

Normally I'm not a "the ref blew the game" kind of guy, but those missed calls, especially the blatant trips were horrible.
Not like a couple of PP's would have guaranteed us a goal but how those weren't called is beyond me.

Realistically now , I know we didn't lose because of Glencross but can't you see he is just an object on the ice !!!!!!! That guy isn't worth what they are paying him , so send him on his way and bring up a young gun .

Holy crap, watching it on TV I thought it was a good call, close but a good call. That is just utter incomptence, it is not even close!!

To play devil's advocate, it does look like his left foot may be off the ice? Would have to watch the video again to see where in his stride he was but if it was, he'd be off side and its the correct call.

I'm in the same boat. Hate to blame the refs but it was a bad night for them. What got me was how often they found themselves in the way of the puck or the play.

Flames are 32-24-4. They have a winning record.

When Poirier was tripped on the breakaway, Mark Bell mentioned that a rookie playing in his first game certainly can't expect a penalty shot to be called on that play. I personally thought it would be a penalty shot. But would that be true what he said? I certainly hope not. I'll never side with the camp that refs will lose you a game. But it would be interesting to know if the Flames inquired with the league about that.

Bad time to lose 3 in a row. The Flames are failing to get good 1st period starts and not getting going to begin each period. Last night they went a span of 7+ min at the start of two of the periods and another 5 min without registering a shot.
20 min out 60 without a shot is not going to get it done.
Several times they are getting scoring chances and look for another play ending up with nothing but a turnover.
That is not going to win games they have become far to dependent on playing comeback in the final 15 min of the 3rd and now it is resulting in losses.
