Yeah, I hate to say it but Vancouver scares me, even more than the Ducks (who we've shown we can skate with)

I mean they just shut out Pittsburgh 3-0 in Pittsburgh.......

Rewind three years. We could barely clear the zone or penetrate the opposing blue line. Our forwards would often be seen crossing the blue line, circling back, and then forfeiting the puck in the offensive zone (Jokinen/Iginla cough cough). They win the zone so effectively now. It's elite in their execution. I don't think any team does it better. Hartley writes the book on this in my opinion.

Wideman has more goals than Matt Duchene.

Right up there with Capuano. Isles have 2 more points and 2 more wins than the Flames, which is just as shocking.

Just looking at the DEC. Schedule. Im glad they're piling up some wins because there's a six game stretch starting with the Pens that can be a real ball breaker. At least december ends with a EDM, L.A, EDM trio of games which should get them back on track should they faulter through the middle of the month.

The Flames need to add another top 4 d-man.

They're a playoff team, but an injury to any of the top 4 would have a huge impact on them - so much of their success comes from the blue line.

What a show.

Most young centers don't figure out face offs until their 3rd or 4th seasons, if then. The fact he he's doing it in his 2nd after just turning 20 is utterly remarkable.

Hartley should still be the favourite. The islanders were in much better shape last year to this year compared to the flames. The turnaround of the flames is on a way bigger scale.

Boring Sean Monahan ‏@boringmonahan 9m9 minutes ago Lance Bouma said he was going to give me one of his moms homemade cookies for scoring the goal tonight. That was nice of him.

Don't worry. It's the playoffs that matter.

When I joined these forums in 03/04 I chose this username and haven't changed it. It's starting to suit our team again I can feel it.

Dennis Wideman had 10 goals combined the past two seasons. He already has 10 goals this season.
