Such a lovely goal to see. They actually *developed* the play, and that's the higher level thinking that players like Brodie and Hudler bring. Great to watch.

Also, Thornton is going to see Byron in his nightmares for a little while. Bryon stripped Jumbo Joe not once but twice on that same shift.

We're deadly on the 4v4. The coaches need to develop an offsetting penalties play on the whiteboard.

He was everywhere, while staying responsible. Looked great. I felt more comfortable with him playing than Engelland.
I liked Diaz last night - I think this team needs a guy like him on the 3rd pair to offset Smid/Engelland having no puck skills to speak of. Both are hard nosed, physical guys, but they really struggle clearing the zone. Since Smid > Engelland, I wouldn't be opposed to rolling with this setup for a few more games.

That 4v4 shift was positively a work of art. Absolute domination. The Sharks had no answers.

Watched the Comcast feed today and they raved about the Flames throughout the game. Brought up our scoring, our great thirds, the win against the Devils and through in a few comments on how the Oilers suck.

Yeah, I enjoyed that.

I love how Thornton gave away/got beat to 4 pucks and then skates off so Couture gets the -1. That's hilarious. If this was the playoffs it would be the new Shift.
