Day has the worst luck at majors.
Bogey free round but not enough birdies.

Louis has been very clutch with long par savers at 16 and 17 to set this up. Should be an easy make but we all know it's major pressure...

Louis and Zach deserve it, they went 4-3 at the end. Day and Spieth could not.

1-2-17-18 are the playoff holes. Obviously gotta think 17 and 18 will decide it again, whoever goes 4-3 will be sitting pretty.

Dang it. I was really hoping to see Spieth get three majors in a row. So close too.
Dustin... just wow. Comes out guns a blazing after the US Open screwup on 18, looking like a man on a mission, then just crumbles.

I really don't want Johnson to win.

To a degree I feel bad for Zach Johnson because like Stewart Cink in 2009, we're all going to remember this for the loser faaar more than we remember the winner. Predictably boring and awful playoff, would have loved to have Day and Spieth in there to keep it interesting.

yeah but we have to cheer for everyone, or else it would like saying that 2016 Stanley Cup final sucked because the Flames won it instead of the Hawks for the 4th time.

Good for Zach Johnson (I too wanted just about anyone else to win). The number of awesome story lines for the other guys that didnt even make the playoff
Obviously Spieth and the 3/4 of a grand slam
Jason Day and his health problems and finally winning a major
Adam Scott reunited with Steve Williams
Sergio Garcia winning his first
Any one of the amateurs
Justin Rose winning on home soil after coming so close as an amateur
Padraig Harrington winning his third Open

More antics from Allenby at the Canadian Open.
Love the unintentional Happy Gilmore reference. Im picturing Allenby's caddie to be Jaws.

David Hearn currently tied for 1st. 2 under through 7 and the putter has been great for him today. Just stiffs an approach on 8th hole to inside 10 feet to take the outright lead. His interviews seem really positive and he seems really comfortable with the attention. Have to wonder if the departure of DeLaet and Weir from the tournament puts the majority of the Canadian spotlight on him, and this is his shot to be "the" Canadian.
Canadian Tour Grad and double heart transplant Erik Compton also tied for the lead.
Hadwin had a big day today to move up to T-12.
Young American Ollie Schniederjan shoots a 66 today to shoot up the leaderboard into the top 10. This is his first pro event.
Wind is picking up.

The thing to watch out for today and tomorrow is Bubba on the final 6 holes- 3 par 5s. I believe he went 5 under yesterday on the final 6. Didn't realize Bubba's wife was Canadian. I like him a little more now.

Leaders are all bouncing around the course and falling off. Except Hearn whose putter is keeping him in it with some great par saves.
Day and Campbell just found the water, with Campbell's triple bogey dropping him down to T-4.
As of this moment, Hearn has a 3 stroke lead through 11!

Bubba, Furyk, Day and Villejegas all taking advantage of the closing holes. Watson 3 under on 2 back 9 par 5s so far, with 2 holes to go. He had closed the lead to 2, and then Hearn drops a 20 foot bomb on a par 3 to re-gain his 3 stroke lead.
Bubba misses the fairway into a bunk on 17.
Hearn hasn't bogeyed in either then 2nd or 3rd round. Really keeping it together. PGATour radio commentators describing his scrambling as "Seve-esque"
As hot as his putter is, his driver needs some tweaking - keeps missing left.
