I like Ramo, Raymond, Giordano, Brodie, Monahan and Hudler. God Ramo was amazing. I think he'll emerge our #1 guy. But I love the competition going on, because it's pushing both guys to put out their best efforts.

So sad that no one on Gaudreau's line could get him a damn puck or win a puck battle in the offensive end. On a night like this there was definitely potential for a Gaudreau beauty. I wish they wouldn't bury him this much. he's half the reason I tune in, and it's sad that every play he starts dies on his team mates sticks. Soon... (I hope)

There was a sweater toss too?! Night complete. I'm a very happy fan tonight. Yesterday's game is pretty much obsolete.
JG has to create for himself sometimes...thats what good players do

we beat Edmonton badly in a game we had absolutely no right winning. It's kind of embarassing, like beating up your little sister. Every other team tweaks their gameplans and works on different scenarios and the games are tight and the games are won from a few mistakes.

But Edmonton, it's like they're all deaf and can't understand their coach. Defence? No comprende

maybe their coach is telling them the wrong things...he thinks they made a couple mistakes and were unlucky

You jerks.. when I first saw that Adirondack Mascot I went "WTF?!" but after all these posts, you've turned me into a fan! They need to fly this guy out to Calgary for a couple of home games!

They look like they don't belong in the NHL, they got whooped 5-2 in one of the worst Flames performances in years. If their coach is that bad it would be time to fire him now. A few people on this forum would do a better job if they are actually following Eakin's lead.

There has to be a "Scorchy Night" at the Saddledome. Peter Hanlon, make it so.

Also laughed hard at Hall making that idiotic goal celebration.

You don't do cellies on 2nd period goals, ever. You just gonna get burnt. Will they ever learn?

Someone needs to replace Brodie with Scorchy in that pic of the 5th goal.

Is there any way to call up a mascot? Nothing against Harvie, but damn. . .

Well there were a few more players involved. Gio, Russell, brodie, etc. Had good games. Paul Byron is playing solid all over too.

My first game in Edmonton. I've got a couple thoughts

-Gaudreau had a quiet game. Made a couple bad passes in the offensive zone. He dumped the puck twice in this game. I've never seen him dump the puck before unless it was a line change. Maybe a request of the coaches to not always carry the puck in. Didn't seem to get much ice time and/or was not noticeable otherwise.

-Credit where credit is due. Offensively, the Oilers top line was the only line generating pressure on the Flames. But beyond that, almost nothing. That team has no depth. Draisaitl was invisible.

-It's fortunate for Hall that he isn't Russian, because the fans and media should be calling out his one dimensional game. I don't care that you're down 2 goals with less than a minute left, you cannot leave the trailing defensemen on a rush to swoop around behind the net.

-I enjoyed the homeless guy playing the trash buckets and the guy playing the banjo outside the train station after the game. Very Edmonton.

-Scrivens wasn't great, but all the Flames goals were top notch chances.

-Gio had a solid bounce back game (I thought he was average in the opener).

-The Oilers pipe organ music makes my ears bleed. The frequency it plays at is actually painful.

-Overall, great game. I even got an Oilers scarf to wipe my oil dipstick with.
