I'm fully aware that it would've been one of the worst possible things that could've happened and the aftermath/fallout would be terribly painful, but there's a few of my less advanced braincells that would have loved to see Mcgrattan ragdoll Torts in the hallway.

If Iginla was still here, he would have forced the issue with one of Kesler / Bieksa before they likely turtle and yap once the refs are involved. Miss the guy.
Didn't Kassian make a gesture about Gagner's broken jaw a few weeks ago?
Funny how upset they got over Boston's taunts during the SCF when Burrows was having fingers for lunch, but now they have no problem chirping guys for injuries and their home life.
What a hypocritical group of skids.

Not too surprising who it is that are acting like the three 'toughest' guys while still on the bench in all these clips- Kesler, Burrows and a bit of Kassian. The rest of the canucks were fairly normal. Those three really ruin it for the whole team. Though on after hours hamhuis said something about the canucks stepping up and 'smashing' the flames in that. Must have missed that one- by my count Gratts, Westgarth, Smid all won their bouts- not sure about the garrison butler fight, weiss definitely got the better of b. jones.
If this brawl didn't happen, the Canucks probably would've won this game 1-0 in an absolute boring stinker.
The Canuck faithful is already complaining about how boring they play and we know both teams can't score.
If anything, the emotion and more importantly, the tired defensemen, created a situation where 4 goals were actually scored!
I thank Bob Hartley for his part in bringing some excitement in an otherwise boring season and I hope that this is not the last time we see this from the Flames this year or in the near future. Mr. Hartley, you made the Calgary Flames a significant topic of discussion last night, instead of the boring after-thought that they have been all season long. You made the Calgary Flames relevant in a forgetful season. Thank you!
P.S. I hope they call up and dress Mcdermid and Breen for the next game versus the Canucks.

Calgary Flames, PLEASE GO TO THE NET! AND SHOOT THE PUCK! GENERATING OFFENSE IS NOT DIFFICULT! SKATE HARD, SHOOT HARD, CRASH THE NET HARD!
Last nights game has given this once awesome rivalry a nice spark. Canuck and Flames games the last two years had been pretty hard to sit thru as the hate level wasn't there on the ice. Hopefully this changes that and we can see some intensity.
What's the story with this? Is Shane an alleged drinker or something? I don't know the backstory I guess.
OBrien's partying reached a point in Vancouver when he missed a morning team meeting but the internet show him tying one on pretty hard late the night before. He was disciplined by the team. He denied being an alcoholic but there were many questions of that ilk. The partying and drinking questions continued well after he left Vancouver.
No idea if he has been partying in Calgary or not.

Such a classless loser, I don't understand how anyone could cheer for that punk.
He's lucky Grats didn't take exception to that insult.
Did Shane O'Brien go to rehab or is this just a joke about his days in Vancouver. It seems pretty innocuous to me. I am guessing that they are actually friends and no one really took any offense other than random people on a message board.

Nothing says friendship better than inferring your bud has a drinking problem during a heated exchange!

Are you kidding me? I know you like the Canucks, and are a huge fan, but A) Burrows is a piece of garbage and has always been one and the best thing that can happen for Vancouver hockey is him announcing his retirement so he can stop being an embarressment.
B) Maybe two of the Flames can dye their hair red and give each other tender massages while holding bath toys as a salute to the Sedin's.
C) Making a drinking gesture at player that has had struggles with drinking in the past isn't innocuous, drinking and alcoholism is a serious problem and throwing it in someones face is utterly classless. If I had a drinking problem and my friend in a public place was making jokes about it, we certainly wouldn't be friends anymore and my friend would have more then a broken jaw. Stop making excuses for the piece of garbage.
Your team is loaded with classless losers, cheap shot artists and coached by a loudmouth bully. Its too bad someone like McGratton didn't punch him in the mouth for coming anywhere near the dressing room. Torts needs a good punch in the mouth.
