So is the Ray Rice story* being overshadowed because of everything else that is going on - Olympics, Michael Sam, Martin/Incogneto report, Combine, etc?
It just seems crazy with the amount of coverage other less important NFL news gets.

Hmmmm....somewhat unbelievable, but if the Browns were offering multiple first round picks? Gotta consider it.

The Browns’ unpredictable head-coaching search nearly finished with what would have been the most unpredictable outcome of any head-coaching search since Jon Gruden was traded from the Raiders to the Buccaneers a dozen years ago.

Per multiple league sources, the Cleveland Browns nearly pulled off a trade with the 49ers for the rights to coach Jim Harbaugh.

A deal that would have sent multiple draft picks to San Francisco was in place between the teams. But Harbaugh ultimately decided not to leave the 49ers.

The 49ers could not immediately be reached for comment. Efforts to contact the 49ers continue.

The Browns declined to comment specifically on whether an effort was made to acquire Jim Harbaugh. The Browns characterized the search as thorough, and the Browns acknowledged that many options were considered. The Browns emphasized that the team is excited about its new coach Mike Pettine.

Just read somewhere that the 49ers are saying the whole story is made up and that they never talked to Cleveland about Harbaugh. Looking of the link now.

Many NFL players will go to a mall this offseason. Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam, though, is working in one.

Elam, a first-round pick a year ago, is spending his offseason as a part-time sales associate at Finish Line at the Gainesville, Fla., mall before he reporting back to the Ravens in April. He works about 20 hours per week, helping customers with shoes on the floor and occasionally stocking shelves.

His goal is to open his own sports merchandise store.
"I just need to get retail knowledge," Elam told the team's official website. "That's basically what I'm doing. I'm getting that knowledge for when it's time."

Good to see some NFL players look at life past playing football. Awfully surprising that a rookie is that forward thinking, the NFL/NFLPA should really push this kind of activity.

I do kind of like that they are using the old orange as a secondary color to the red.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but the recent trend in NFL logo's and jerseys are just plain awful. The Seahawks jersey's are ugly (see a fan walking around in public in one and it is downright laughable). The new Dolphins logo is lame. And now the Bucs new uniforms are just plain disgusting. Is there any market research going into the designs of these things?

I like the idea of making PATs longer and encouraging more 2 point attempts, but making them 23 yds longer seems a little extreme.

Im guessing there are less than 10 missed PATs all year in the entire league?

I saw that yesterday, would 2 point attempts still occur from the 2 yard line? It eliminates any sort of fake PAT (not that those happen more than once in a blue moon)

Edit: The article says 2 point tries would still occur from the 2 yard line.
