McCrimmon with the 5-1 win over McDonald. Ramo with the win, MacDonald (4 GA) and Brossoit (1 GA) with the loss. Goals by Ferland, Cammalleri, Monahan x2, and D. Jones for McCrimmon. Jooris with the goal for McDonald.

Sounds like it was a nice goal on a rush.

Good games today, lots of contact and the guys were skating hard. Standouts for me were Wotherspoon (so poised), Backlund (confidence), Cammalleri (made some great plays) and Monahan (so smooth on that second goal and a deadly wrister top shelf on his first tally).

The d pairing of Sieloff and Kanzig was a lot if fun to watch, Sieloff is a beast, hitting everything on the ice.

Baertschi took a beating along the boards, as usual.

Honestly if the Flames could get a good young centre or defenseman in exchange for Sven, I'd do it. I just can't see this guy playing a full season injury free. He's like a young Hemsky, great talent, no fear, and brittle.

All 5 guys out on the ice, 2 at the far end, 3 in front of me.

Doing similar drills to what they practiced at development camp.

I should also point out if it hasn't already been.... Kristin Hallett looks "wow" today.

4 pts for Monahan?

Sounds like he just chewed up Sven's advice and spat it out.

Keep that up kid and you're getting on for sure.

I also think he's going to be a positive surprise to many. Puck moving, smooth skating, smart d-man.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. If you could flip him for Myers I think you do it. In the trade rumor thread I suggested Baertschi, Giordano and Byron for Vanek and Myers. I think that trade would be great for the Flames and give them a lot of what they are missing. Of course the Flames would have to get Vanek's autograph on an extension, but I think that could be easier than some expect. Sure would be nice to have a 6'2 210 pound 40 goal scorer as your top LW. Having a 6'8 230 pound guy on your top pair would be nice as well. Nice compliment to Brodie.
