While we're talking Steam... I've looked everywhere on CP for the thread, but would there be value in a thread dedicated to everyone's steam nicknames so we could play some games together?

AC Revelations worth $5? I've played the rest of the series except for this one and III. I heard the tower defence portion really sucks.

It's not that bad. You only have to do the tower defence just once (in a tutorial mission) and never worry about it again as long as you keep your notoriety rating from being maxed for a long period of time.
It's the next in the series, nothing really major changed from Brotherhood except an expanded rebuilding gameplay and assassin leader missions.

Bought x-com and love this kind of turn-based strategy game. Any other games that are similar out there. Haven't played too much yet, but so far love this game.

Omerta City of Gangsters, but I heard that game was absolute crap. Frozen Synapse is an indie title that's pretty good.

The old Rebel Star series is similar in feel. They're old games, though it should be noted that the producers of X-COM made Rebelstar: Tactical command for the Gameboy Advance. Impossible to find, but it's a light, portable type of game with similar feel to X-COM.
I haven't played it, but Xenonauts is supposed to have been started to be in the flavour of X-COM.
Shadowrun Returns, after the popular tabletop game, is supposed to be similar as well. And it's coming out in 4 days

Well after reading all the recommendations in this and other threads I ponied up for Saints Row the Third + DLC. Barring a flash sale for Retro City or Gunpoint (I know I missed it earlier) I think I'm done for this sale.
Grand total of $47.94 USD spent, not too shabby.
Favorite pickup so far would be Kerbal Space Program, I can see me sinking a lot of time into it

FTL is a ridiculous game. Steal of the sale for $2.50
Is Sins of a Solar Empire a good deal at $13?

I would agree with that SIN's is a great game. There's even a Star Wars mod that you can download out there that's really amazing.

Maybe this could satisfy my need for Rebellion II that Empire at War fell so short of...

So, I decided to figure out how much money I've spent on steam since I created my account, since I hit 300 games on this sale.
I'd recommend that you guys don't do the same. Though it works out to an average of $8.71 per game, which isn't too too bad....

Ending up getting:
Bioshock
Bioshock Infinite
Borderlands 2 Season Pass
The Walking Dead
Tomb Raider
Fallout 3 GOTY
Torchlight II
Pretty happy with what I got. Last two could (will) be time sinks. Plus I still have games from the last summer sale.

I thought the sale was sort of weak this summer. Maybe it's a reflection of how poor this year's crop of games were but there weren't too many that I really had to have. Tomb Raider was the only game I was hoping to pick up and was on for a good deal. The rest were still too high for me to consider buying.
Tomb Raider: Survival Edition + DLC
Hitman Absolution Professional
Deadlight
Total War: Shogun 2 DLC
Dishonored DLC - $6.43
Sins of a Solar Empire: Forbidden Worlds DLC
Sleeping Dogs DLC
Surgeon Simulator
Assassin's Creed Revelations
KOTOR I & II
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed DLC
Sanctum 2 Season Pass (not on sale)
Kept myself in check mostly. Only bought 5 new games and the rest were all DLC. I only dropped about 45 bucks and the rest was paid for with the $30 I made from selling trading cards.
