I understand that's one possible outcome, but not very likely?

Ummmm, he did take a pretty viscous stick to the groin. Depending on how well u r endowed, it can be pretty serious. I'm thinking I'd be out from a desk job for at least a month after that one!

Anybody else finding the west playoffs far more entertaining than the east? If the ECF is half as good as Blues/Kings we will be fortunate.

Only boring and predictable series in the west so far were Hawks/Wild and Nucks/sharks, and yet I still found the latter entertaining!

I've found the best series so far to be Pens vs. Isles, Bruins vs. Leafs, Blues vs. Kings and Sharks vs. Kings.
I'm hoping for a Kings vs. Hawks WCF and a Pens vs. Bruins ECF, which would be ideal.

Both East and West have good series. 2nd round is better in the West, but the East has had a lot of fun and excitement.

After playing like a bum for the first few games in playoffs Gomez has really picked it up and looks better all the time. Looks like a great pickup for SJ afterall.

Interesting perspective from Brett Hedican. Thinks Havlat may have played his last game as a Shark because he lied to the coaches about his health:

He must be a complete idiot to assume that Havlat lied about his health.

Where did he get that from? Must be from thin air because nothing indicates that he lied about his health. He got re-injured after coming back from injury. It happens all the time.

What a compete doofus for even assuming something like that.

What player says he's not good to play when he's injured?

Are those coaches new to a competitive atmosphere?

Yep, the refs screwed the Sharks in game 2 and then screwed the Kings next game.

I'm assuming that you didn't see the coach's post-game scrum. He was clearly annoyed at Havlat.

Yup direct quote from McLellan

"If you're hurt and you can't play, you can't play," McLellan said. "We can be as frustrated as we want. It was hard because we had to juggle the lineup, but we talked about the difference between injured and hurt. He's injured."

Havlat's signed for two more years at 5 per with a no movement clause. Good luck finding another team to take him as with his injury history it's going to be difficult.

They will look to deal him for anything. If that doesn't work then Havlat will be 1 of the 2 amnesty buyouts each team gets over the next 2 seasons. His amnesty buyout would not count against the cap.

Never liked Havlat. Anyone who kicks with skates on is a moron.

Anyone know if there is a reason Regehr took #44?

Assume 24 (junior I think, Buffalo) and 28 (cgy) were unavailable as they are taken.
