Well, that's that.

Very anti-climatic, but I think everyone saw this being a quick series. The Hawks look good, though......could go a very long way this year.

That might be the least emotion I've ever felt at the end of a series. I was busy looking at stuff on my laptop and didn't even realize the game was over...

It truly was a bypass series. Hawks didn't have to sweat much at all.

How long ago was that? Late 70s? It's been a while.
Bob Johnson was the master of that. The rule was changed sometime during his time as the Flames' coach.

The Wild buzzed the 'Hawks' zone early, but Crawford made some big stops...CC left some rebounds, but the Wild had no luck at all in getting to them...IMO, Harding was clearly bothered by a L leg injury, and seemed to get no push at all...also, just not enough offense from their top guys, Parise was not even credited with a SOG for the game....

The Wild are young, and got some of their guys, including Kuemper, some experience...no shame in losing this series, especially once their #1 goalie went down. Harding was brave, and game, but one has to wonder about his ability to continue playing with the degenerative nerve damage that MS causes....best of luck to him.

For my 'Hawks it will either be a Detroit or St. Joe matchup for round two.

^ Actually Chicago is probably going to end up facing San Jose for round two, since the NHL reranks for the second round (1 vs. 6 seed). That is unless Detroit wins the next two, then they'll be facing the Wings.

Unless by St. Joe you mean San Jose for some reason... Never heard it said that way before though.

With so many interesting first round matchups, even though the Hawks are good, this seemed like a foregone conclusion and I couldn't be bothered to watch much of it. Looking forward to round 2

Kudos to the Wild G, that was gutsy

Tracker...Jose translates to Joseph in English, of course, though, and that IS what I meant...A personal habit of I have of butchering or completely Anglicizing town names that are not English names, as a joke. These names are often mispronounced officially in the Midwest, for example the town of Des Plaines, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, is pronounced DESS planes, or the towns of Madrid and Nevada, Iowa are MADD-rid and nev-VAY-duh to locals.

In the games...I'd rather the 'Hawks' face Howard than Niemi, at this point. And let the Sharks and the Kings beat the heck out of each-other. I don't expect the Blows (because they do!) to advance.

And it is hard for me to keep omitting Detroit's official 'Hawk fan suffix when I mention them. That being Detroit (SUCKS)...a chant you can hear at the United Center, even when the 'Hawks AREN'T playing the Wings.
