This was a fun game to watch! I totally believe they wouldn't pull it off but I am so happy they could! 2 points out of 8th!

Comeau should be on the 4th line and is very effective. I think he's just miscast and he's being unfairly hated by fans.
- Butler had a pretty strong game. A little shocked to see him end up with 2 assists and a plus 2. He might have some trade value afterall
- Bouwmeester has looked great when it comes to joining the rush, but his lack of strength in front of his own net is still frustrating. He should just avoid a battle of strength and just focus on keeping the opposition stick busy. He just can't win physical battles and shouldn't try. Use your stick and position. Lidstrom rarely ever overpowered the opposition with strength, he used his smarts.
- Brodie just continues to impress. At this rate, he's going to be the best defenceman on this team by the end of the year. Doing it at both ends of the ice and using his smarts and mobility.
- I always thought Stajan was better than what he has been the past few years. I still feel Brent just had it in for him because Darryl traded one of his favourites for him.

I don't post all that often after losses and would love to see where I am gloating about anything.
These posts that go after the posters, especially when making stuff up that isn't said, are what I was talking about earlier.

LOL so someone said "eat it haters" and you took it personally. Are you the leader of the clan or something?

OK, everyone who watched tonight, doesn't matter if your optimistic or pessimistic, didn't ya all just freak when Glencross scored? Wasn't it a great feeling? Just for at least a couple of seconds?

I have been as pessimistic as anyone...but back to back REGULATION home wins is pretty big. Back to back regulation wins are pretty rare these days, not just for the Flames

Win the next game and I might put one foot back on the bandwagon.
As for now, great win! I had a gut feeling we were going to win in regulation even after the Yotes had the lead. Just a feeling

Isn't it embarassing for us that they are playing much better defensively??
At least the kids up there can keep the puck out.

Not really. We lost our #1 goalie for half the games now.

If the Flames win the two games in hand that they have over most teams in the bunch in reg/OT, they would very likely have the 5th best record in the conference through 19 games.

And we are still playing with only one true centre. Imagine if we had 2?

They are not that much better. The fact they have a great deal of trouble scoring goals 5 on 5 is embarrassing when you have to rely on the PP to win games.

Flames have a 0.883 save percentage.
Oilers have a 0.920 save percentage.
The Oilers are giving up the second most shots per game in the league this year, the most in the Western Conference by nearly two shots per game.
Flames have given up 91 fewer shots this season so far, yet have given up 11 more goals.
They have been getting better goaltending, not playing better team defense, IMO.

That tends to happen when your current starter is a waiver wire pick up and your original starter was struggling to figure out how to play after a long break (and has been injured).

Not really, if we had gotten average goaltending this year the Oilers would have been the traditional after thought team that they are.
The fact that the Flames are tied with the wonderkids in Edmonton should be monumentally embarrassing for the Oilers and their fans.

I think it's embarrassing that we're measuring success against the Oilers and not the rest of the league.
Regardless, tonight was fun to watch, I can't even remember the last last minute comeback like that to outright win so late in the game.
