Regarding Center Ice on Shaw...

The Islander / Devil game today is in low def. I am watching on 351, which is a PPV channel.

Are there other channels that are specifically designated to CI? On Directv they have dedicated channels and for most games, there are SD, as well as HD feeds that you can choose from.

This seems to not be the case on Shaw. Am I missing something?

They can't seriously expect us to pay for the service and only give us SD?

I was originally having problems running gamecenter off my XBox - mostly with loading/streaming issues, but last few days I've had zero problems and the feed looks crystal clear.

I am happy I decided to get NHL Centre Ice. I think in years past I have not watched a lot of October/November hockey, but now I am watching at least part of a game every night.

And with lots of rivarly type games it is fun to see.

Ever get an answer to this? I have Shaw Gateway and was wondering the same thing.

That's an error. Wouldn't count on it happening regularly. Witopia is a great service to add to game centre.

In Kelowna I got the game. You should only be blacked out on SN Pacific feeds and national feeds. There are ways around this though.

Does Game Center allow you to watch a game on an iPhone?

Can't answer the center ice bit but you should be able to watch games on your phone over wifi or using your data plan. Naturally certain games will be blacked out.

It may not be available for new subscribers but try logging in to Bell and than using the link.

Yeah you can use it on your iPhone, android, and some other devices.

The Gamecentre app for Android has just been updated today. Highlight included being perma-signed in so no longer needing to repeatedly sign in after closing the app. I think it's a smidgen smoother too though I could be imagining things.

Just bothered me that I sat down to watch on Apple TV knowing it wasn't showing on any local broadcaster and I was greeted with the blackout message.

I'm with Novus in BC, but from what I know about Shaw there should be both SD and HD channels. The only thing is that for the HD channels for CI only works with new generation receivers as the broadcast format for the HD channels has changed.

Gamecentre live not working for anyone else right now? Apple TV isn't let me sign in, saying I don't have a valid username/password, while nhl.com keeps signing me out, and keeps telling me to upgrade when I click on a game.

Very frustrating right now.

I had a terrible experience trying to register with Gamecentre earlier this season. I signed up online and tried to pay with my Credit Card but kept getting weird issues. I thought it may of been due to the postcode layout / address layout or something strange so I kept trying but never got it working. Next day I tried to use my CC and found my account had been drained by these attempts. Called Gamecentre and they told me it's not that uncommon of a problem, but an issue with their website and that my funds would be returned within 5 business days. It's been 15 and I haven't got anything.

Thank god for hockeystreams.com
