Whoops, thought there'd be more match to see if I woke up 1.5 hours after start. I have no idea if Milos didn't come ready or if Fed is extra sharp, but it's not a great matchup for a guy whose game is still mostly one dimensional right now.
Then again there's little hope for anyone against the big 3 at any time in general. Congrats to Roger for his 35th consecutive major QF...yet another record that will probably never be broken in our lifetimes.
Dang, Milos looks pissed...cold handshake. Interested to hear his comments later.
First set was real close. Fed broke Milos for the 6th game win. He missed a bunch of first serves and Fed took advantage. Second set was good pretty safe set no one did anything crazy and just won on serve. In the tie break Milos tried to go to the net but his net approaches were terrible all night and Fed hit an easy winner for the mini break. Third set was just disastrous he was broken right off the bat then again on his second service game. His confidence was shot and I think mentally gave up.
Milos just can move across the court fast enough for these good players. He certainly can't do anything on the return game still any time the point got into a rally he would lose it.

First two sets were close and the 3rd set was a throw away. Couldn't do anything on the return of serve. I read somewhere that Milos won 10 points TOTAL on Federer serve.
I think the next goal for Milos is to get to #12 in the world. In Grand Slams, #13-16 draw #1-4 in the 4th round which is a death sentence. Get to 12 and you draw #5-8 which are Ferrer (when Nadal is around), Tsonga, Berdych and Del Potro. Still not easy but much much easier than the Big 4 who are unbeatable.

Alas, I don't think Roanic will ever be more then his serve
Luckily he is still young so he has plenty of time to prove me wrong.
Well, it's now a one horse race for me... Go Roger!!!!
Yup. In a sport where players are peaking in their mid-20s he's got a few years to go. He's by far the best of the young group.. where are Dimitrov, Harrison, and Tomic? Nowhere.

Some other parts of the article are interesting too.
Roger on Milos:
Quote:
What I like about Milos, let’s just say, he seems very committed and he seems like he has his team set up, travels every week with the same kind of guys. I don’t know if he’s fiddling around with his racquets or anything, but at least you feel like he’s focused on the matches and the practice. The rest is sort of taken care of, which is the good thing, the business side, all the PR. So I don’t know how much he’s involved in that. But he seems like he’s in a good place where he can just really focus on tennis.
Roger on Tomic:

Whereas I think Tomic still needs some time to figure out his team, figure out all the other things that are happening. Obviously Milos has a bit of an advantage because he’s been at the top now for some time. This is where it’s interesting to see what direction they go, where they practice, who they work with, so forth.
Some nice comments about our Canuck.
