I thought Rasmus was going deep there. I'll still take the sac, though......6-1 Jays, 1 out.

That's twice Rasmus has gotten decent contact opposite field, he's gonna come around. Still an RBI.

Just got back from the game:
Good atmosphere, 26 thousand plus is pretty good for the 2nd game and there was not many Red Sox fans to be found at all.
Bard is going to be a good starting pitcher. He got no help in the field today, induced a ton of ground balls that found holes for the Jays.
Drabek is still a work in progress but I thought he was going to melt down in the 3rd inning but he kept his composure and got out of it. That's a great sign for the confidence he lacked.
The wave needs to go away forever.
That catch by Escboar with Rasmus coming in on him was even more incredible live.
Rasmus hit the ball really hard twice. Good things are coming

Just a few more notes:
The Jays defense was great tonight to. Farrell talked about it a little after the game, it went a long way tonight and they were incredibly sharp.
I thought Farrel pulling Drabek when he did, was the right call.
I really realllly like Kelly Johnson

Flames - any reason in particular for your lovefest with Kelly Johnson? Just curious...

He's a defensive upgrade over Hill, chemistry with Escobar, he can hit for power and he walks. The long AB's he's been putting together in the 2 hole are going to go such a long way when Bautista starts hitting the ball again. He's been the best Jays hitter this season along with Encarnacion.

Escobar-SS, Johnson-2B, Bautista-RF, Encarnacion-1B, Francisco-DH, Lawrie-3B, Thames-LF, Arencibia-C, Davis-CF. Romero-SP
So E5 is playing first today, Francisco in for Lind and Davis in for Rasmus.
