Shawnski actually coined the name Otto-Matic for me.

What ever happened to that guy?

Met a few posters through ball hockey/buying tickets, all class acts.

I rarely remember any names, including nicknames, so I'm not even trying to create even a small list. Two posters come to mind, and they nicely represent two different styles I like.

1) Cowperson. Rarely posts without having something worth reading, and often has solid insight into things. I also agree with his posts a lot. There are others who make the same effort, and without them the forum would be lot less informative.

2) VladTheImpaler. I like his non-apologetic style, and more generally, he's just the good kind of active poster. Vlad pretty openly puts his thoughts and feelings out there and still consistently avoids the common pitfalls of unnecessary aggression, redundant ranting and sheer stupidity. The kind of poster that keeps the forum flowing without making you feel you're wading through crap to get to the good stuff.

It's not gay when you are on top, or if the cojones don't touch - so you're all good.

No I lie - it's all gay no matter what, and that's truly all good. MMM yeah.

Csinmyblood is hilarious. His Canuck rants are just beautiful and comedic gold.

Good grief, we're getting dangerously close to having members who weren't even alive when this thing first started!

Thanks for remembering me. I recall discussing topics with Otto where I might have coined that, but never realized you took up the handle because of it! Cool.

Oddly enough, I have just recently revisited the ol's stompin' grounds here at CP. Apologies to those that would have preferred otherwise!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed meeting a TON of you. If I tried to count how many posters I have met in person, it would easily be over 150+, NOT counting that one night outside the Saddledome where we had the Jiri Fischer "get wel soon" card signing.

Heck, between the slopitch team(s), DJing some CPers weddings, hockey games and other get togethers, I can honestly say that CP has a GREAT group of people posting here.

I'd sit down for a beer anytime with anyone I have already met. And I am sure I would be fine with everyone else, although some might have to be held down, had a funnel put in their mouths and had the beers poured in.

I call that "beerboarding", and go on the record from this point forward that it is a much better way to do things than "waterboarding"! It is likely the SW slopitch team has already used this tactic extensively in Okotoks...

Not sure what drew me back to CP recently... perhaps my subconscious realized that Diablo 3 was coming out soon, and I needed to get my index finger's left button mouse clicking ability up to speed. And as that game requires a very rapid rate of middle finger agility for the right button mouse clicking, perhaps I should seek out fotze's Mom.... again.

For me it was Fatso. He doesn't post much now obviously but when I first joined he asked me a lot of stuff about some Panthers players, especially VanRyn or whatever is name was. Ha!
Then HOOT was really helpful as well as OilFan81 and Oilersbaby. I thought fotze was some illiterate drunken loon

GTF used to post about his business trips, 4x4 and I were going to have a threesome with Sara Palin, Traditional Ale was doing some great music posts, and I remember evilcougar doing some long rant about barhopping In Edmonton.

Bit it was the Presidential election thread that got me hooked. I'll always remember IFF for that.

No, I can't pick just one CC! You, Jiri and Bingo are thee too!

Sorry for the bump.

But I really have to drop a mention for Netminder in here. I just realized, the second I see his name as the most recent poster in a thread I immediately click it for the hilarity that ensues. I wish this site had a Netminder!! notification tool, that emails me anytime he posts.

It would be pretty awesome if Netminder came out and admitted to trolling us all these years. The thing I love about him or her is that he bumps the GDT or GT every single game way after the game has been over. I also like him because he's so passionate about the Flames that he still posts even though people make fun of his posts all the time.

I'll always remember pylon because of that crazy night that started with us drinking at a pub but ended with us joining the cute waitress for a Golden Gate. Dude named himself after a snake for a reason! A big snake that is!

I'm confused. Are you saying a pylon is a big snake?

All this time I thought those were pythons.

LOL, sounds like a fun night, but my handle is a traffic control device, not a fallic reference.
