I love how kids can do the right thing when left on their own. We had a hockey tournament this weekend. One of our players has a brother with special needs. The way our kids surrounded, played with and protected him when they were at the waterslide made me smile more than any hockey game ever has.

I'm in Australia right now competing at the World Lifesaving Championships. I just broke the WR in the women's 45-49 year old Manikin tow with fins.

Gotta love a good, undefeated sports weekend when you get all the right results:

- Flames big BoA comeback win and Chuckie has everyone in Edmonton fuming; perfect.
- My Irish win convincingly over a top 15 team, 1 win away from a playoff berth.
- Saints destroy the defending champion Eagles.
- Stamps advance to their 3rd straight Grey Cup.

Nothing like a solid sports weekend to send you into the work week on the right note

One out of four makes for a poor weekend by my viewpoint. It's all perspective.

Your Saints destroying my Eagles did not make me happy but going to New Orleans on Thursday to see Brees in person does. Damn fine looking football team they have right now.

Yeah, really looking forward to the game and the city. Only there for a few days and then off to Denver for the Sunday game.

Environment Canada says "El Nino" is bringing in warm winds from the West which most of us know makes for a very strong wind.

Meteorologist with Environment Canada Brian Proctor says a white Christmas isn't guaranteed because of the "El Nino" weather pattern.

"It's possible that we could have a white Christmas with a front coming down or we could get into the other half of that pattern where we're seeing those mid to upper teen temperatures possible in which case the snow is going to disappear very rapidly so it's very changeable. We'll have to get a little closer to that time to get a better feel for what's going to happen."

My three year old decided she's a big girl and basically potty trained in a day. Months of agony over it and boom. Trained.

Yup, we experienced the same thing... worry for a while about how to do it, then our girl saw some older cousins using the potty and that was that.

What even makes me happier is that The International Lifesaving federation declared that as of this meet they will be approving the Masters relays as World records! So on top of my individual WR, I am a part of 3 World Record making relays!

I'm just starting to download my videos onto my Youtube channel, but here's my Line Throw. There was a heat before me, but no one close to my time. It was a squeaker. I'm in the red suit and white cap in the middle:
