That sucks. I was hoping with Wiig gone that her, Nasim Perdrad and Vanessa Bayer would get more air time. They all seem to have really good comedy chops, but were overshadowed by Wiig. Plus Abby's hot heh.

Elliot was the weak link among them. Nasim Pedrad and Bayer are fantastic, I am not too concerned with her moving on.
NBC announced in a press release today that the legendary comedy show's 38th season would kick off with MacFarlane and Ocean followed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who will host for his second time on Sept. 22. Mumford & Sons will make their debut as musical guest on that episode.
The following episode will take place Oct. 6 after a week-long hiatus and feature "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig with musical guest Muse. It will be Craig's first time hosting the show as well.

"Saturday Night Live" has added three new featured players, all associated with Second City and Chicago’s iO theater.
Aidy Bryant trained with iO Chicago and Annoyance Theatre and was an ensemble member of the Second City E.T.C Stage.
Tim Robinson, also an alumnus of The Second City, performed on its mainstage and in its national touring company. He has also performed at the iO Theater in Chicago and at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
Cecily Strong has performed as a member of the Second City national touring company and has studied at the iO Theater.
The three will try to fill the shoes of departing castmates Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Abby Eliott. Jason Sudeikis, who plays Mitt Romney, may also exit after the election.
You can hear Pharoah's impression at the 7 minute mark of this video. He's pretty good:

Ya that guy still hasn't won me over yet. I'm admittedly automatically standoffish (maybe even unfairly so) to any new cast member, but pretty much all of the new ones the past couple years have to some degree won me over, except for him.
That's the problem with impressionists, there are only so many times you can see Denzel before you get bored. Especially if he's actually doing a true to life accurate impression and not really presenting any comedy material with it. Take Darrell Hammond. His Trump impression is not spot on but it it's hilarious because of the material he presents. I think if they give Jay some slack to do more characters he's made up, he'll improve vastly. I liked the high school principal character (making announcements at a dance) he's done a couple times.
Pretty weak for a premiere. Macfarlane had his moments, but between some pretty weak skits and a brutal musician, hard not to fast forward through a lot of it.
