Recently they've been good, but it in 1999-2000, they averaged less than 15,000 per game (their fifth season at GM Place)...

I was in Vancouver for the game last night. Even though it was the Flames in town I still wasn’t prepared to spend $100 to go sit in the top corner of the nosebleeds to see a one-sided game.
If you want to keep those seats full during a ‘rebuild’ (especially in a market like Vancouver) you gotta price the tickets fair to the product on display. The prices should be more or less on par with AHL and top CHL games vs. NHL. Until then, I’ll watch the game from my living room in HD.

I'm sure you could've found many tickets for half that.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Did they move fans down from the top bowl to the lower bowl? Looked a bit fuller as the night went on whle the top was blacked out lighting wise.

Scalper tickets were really cheap, I think we got $60 or $70 off.
Don't believe they moved fans down, at some point in the 2nd they removed all of the white scarfs from the empty seats so first may have been what you noticed.

So the nhl hasn't fixed the obvious scoring errors. How can a professional league let that happen? There is a lot of money on the line in the gambling world with props and whatnot and it's just unacceptable that they could be so wrong.

I remember in the 80's watching the Flames playing at Pacific Coliseum before 8000 to 9000 fans. Vancouver supports winners

I was there in the lower bowl and saw no staff removing scarves from the empty seats. There was plenty on the seats as we were walking out. Also saw folk with a scarf grabbing them from the empty seats.

Lower bowl had a lot of empty seats. You probably just didn't notice them as much since they strategically placed White/Blue/Green scarves on every seat to look like jerseys.
Considering it wasn't the home opener, I think that was the whole point of having scarves at the game. They knew they had to do something to make it look better on TV.

Voted for Kodos

With that assist, gaudreau moves into 4th overall in points. 1st for anyone not playing for the Capitals.

I see that Tkachuk also was credited with an assist on D. Hamilton’s goal. I had thought Bennett should also get an assist on that one, but maybe the puck bounced off of his check on that play.

???
He made a good play on the boards and set up Hamilton for the one timer. Hardly a cheap assist.
