Those stats are strange we had 21 passing attempts as a team while Edmonton starter alone playing one half had 22?

Yup.
Stamps starters were umm...underwhelming.
That being said, DD played every guy on the bench and started subbing early. The Elks left their starters in until halftime from what i could tell.

It's only preseason but sheesh those defensive stats don't look great against really pedestrian Eskimos QB's. Normally I wouldn't worry but secondary was a sore spot last season so hopefully they have a better showing against BC.

TBF the defense actually didnt dress some key guys, including Tre Roberson.
I think the coaching stall really wants to get a look at as many secondary guys as possible.

I don't know even with guys fighting for jobs it looks bad. I think Monson should have been fired. His style is so passive with soft zones all over the place.
Ill give them the benefit of the doubt because the game had issues with smoke delays, the storm and stoppage.
Also I think our preparation was probably hampered by the smoke as well.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed national linebacker Jordan Herdman-Reed.
The six-foot, 235-pound defender has played 69 career CFL regular season games since being selected by the B.C. Lions in the seventh round of the 2017 CFL Draft out of Simon Fraser University.
The 28-year-old dressed for 52 games over three seasons with the Lions, recording 95 defensive tackles, 44 special teams tackles, three sacks, and one forced fumble. He signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as a free agent ahead of the 2021 season and spent two years with the club, recording one defensive tackle and six special teams tackles.

Wow, Calgarys defence is complete garbage. Not sure why they even bother to go on the field at this point. Every time BC gets the ball it’s an easy TD. I think 5 random crackheads off the street in downtown Vancouver could score repeatedly on this group of sad sack losers.

22-3 at the half.
Stamps run D = not bad
Stamps run O = decent
Everything else about the Stamps = pathetic
BC scored TDs - very easily - on their first 3 possessions. On the 4th the were marching before a penalty took a 1st down off the board and they were forced to punt after a dropped ball. Still got one point with the punt into the end zone. Their only other possession of the half was the last one, were they got a 1st down but killed the clock.
Calgary did get some 1st downs running the ball, but their passing game was pretty much non-existent. Their only FG came after multiple penalties by BC to give them the field position.
If this is the team Dave takes into the regular season, it is going to be a long, long season and should cost him his job.

Earliest time to be worried about the Stamps is if they aren't within 2 games of a playoff spot by Labour Day (3 months away), certainly not a June 1 preseason (half of a) game.
