What is unfounded about breaking up a winning team to insert an absolutley brutal Hanley and not preparing the PP to cover Ovechkin.

Two specific complaints about this game.

Ok. No one can seriously watch a single goal tonight and think ANY goalie is stopping them .

Seems like Andersson is the one with an appetite.

People are really on Anderson, but repeatedly tonight he has had the puck, looked up for a outlet and the entire team has blown the zone. It's how the team has played all year, and with the loss of our best pairing the D just can't move the puck well enough to make up for cheating forwards.

Andersson needs to go at the draft before his trade protection kicks in. We would he stuck with a 29 year old soon to be 30 with a no trade clause looking to get paid.

Honestly this is why NHL players hate playing in Canada. A game like Wolf tonight and you have people wrongfully blaming him.

A goalie like Saros got the time and development he needed but there is a reason a Canadian team hasn't won the cup in 3 decades. The pressure put on players is not fair. Players don't get the time needed before fans turn on them.

This is a meaningless game in March. Relax. He's 22. He is developing. Let him develop.

My biggest takeaway so far is that I vastly prefer Okhotiuk to Hanley.

He's 27, turning 28 in October?

Sure. Soon to be 30.

Shocked when I came into the thread and saw Wolf nitpicking comments.

Jesus, really?

I meant when his contract is up. He has trade protection for the last 2 seasons.

A player with his conditioning issues and not the best skater is not someone I want us handing a 8 year deal too into their 30s.

Why did they swap those two? Senseless..

That's a tank-mentality roster move.

Because they are looking at various players to see who they want to keep, etc? Hanley only has 4 games with calgary and in 3 the whole team played really badly.

The whole meetings should be on LTIR loophole salary cap gimmicks, not any of the other nonsense.

He is a 32 year old defenseman with under 200 games in the NHL and he has been putrid in the games he has played. Absolutley no reason for him to play unless there is an injury.
