Mercifully those dreams stopped for me about 10 years ago. Now I just dream about all the ways I'm gonna die. Not sure which dreams are worse.

I bought my house over 10 years ago and absolutely love the place, location, floorplan, everything. For the first 5 years I was having dreams that the bank called to let me know of a mistake with the mortgage paperwork and I'd have to get out. Either that or I was living in some other place that sucked.

In my dreams I often dream of being unprepared for or being unable to find the exam room. I often dream of moving between Calgary, Vancouver, Penticton and London Ontario (4 places I have lived). Sometimes I have the non-exceptional ability to levitate (but not fly).

If I’m not getting violently murdered or hunted… then I am extraordinarily late for a huge hockey opportunity (like playing goal for the Flames). There are no other options available to me. I ####ing hate dreams.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one still dealing with nightmares more suited for your formative years. I still have little kid style, trapped in haunted house nightmares sometimes, it's the worst!
My kingdom for adult content nightmares, like getting canned at work or losing my home. Still seems better than a demonic ghost chasing you, and you can't turn the doorknob.

I dream that I’m out hiking in the northern Everglades. I get bitten by some exotic snake, like a taipan, boomslang or black mamba. The snake disappears, and when I tell my rescuers what bit me, they don’t believe me as “we do not have that snake in Florida.”
Then I die.
It actually is one of my fears since people release so many exotics down here. There are Nile monitors in the canal up the street.

I have dreams that I am back in the Army.
Sometimes they are new dreams, sometimes they are recurring dreams.

My anxiety dreams are often not being able to find where I'm supposed to go while under time pressure. Wandering around University looking for the right classroom for my exam, wandering around a stadium looking for my seats before something starts, driving around a city looking for the airport to catch a flight, etc.

Ah The Cranberries.
I was at the show at Max Bell where the lead singer threw her toys and left the stage.
I soured me a bit on them.

For years I had a recurring dream where I had not finished college and needed to take a couple of classes to complete my degree. Some of the most vivid dreams I have ever had that would really have me waking up feeling distressed.

My anxiety dream (happens pretty rarely) is that I wake up and know I have a final exam for a college class, but have never once attended said class, and don't even know where the classroom is. So, I wake up late, need to run to the classroom, realize halfway that I don't have any idea where the test is, and spend the dream running to different potential areas on campus trying to find it, while hating myself for not once trying to attend.
It's a terrible dream and I always wake up in a panic, only to realize immediately that I have not been in school for almost 2 decades.
Hemi, Jiri, OutofTheCube, I'm going to look for you running around with me next one i have.

The bold cracked me up.
Someone needs to understand why we all have this dream decades after uni.
My other recurring dream is where I'm on my way to play ball hockey. Which was my favorite sport until knee injuries meant I had to stop.
In the dream something always prevents me from playing: I don't have a stick, I forget my knee brace, my car runs out of gas. Something always happens which means I don't play.
It's frustrating because I don't even get to play hockey in my dreams.

Sorry Jiri, I meant to include you too!
The strangest part is that I was a pretty fastidious student about attendance. Even my joke classes I would still attend 95% of the time... So the dream is really nonsensical for me. I've never come close to doing that, so why do I evidently fear it so? I do wonder if it ties in with the imposter syndrome I struggle with.

This is going to sound depressing- it's not really meant so, but I can't remember the last positive dream I had, to be honest. My best sleeps are the dreamless nights. I have sporadic anxiety dreams like as described, and occasional very loosely associated strange wandering dreams, but nothing truly exciting or marvelous or joyous that I can recall. Perhaps I have them but they're just too ethereal? Anyone else in a similar boat here?

The university dreams never stop; which is wild to me. (mine is always a math class, which i had never taken).
I also get the "oh shoot, i failed a class in law school" and i have to go back and take it or something. usually ends in me failing it, and i always wake up a little uneasy until i remember i passed law school over a decade ago...
Apparently it has to do with stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm in your waking life.
_____
I also (less frequently) have dreams about having to complete something and taking forever (climbing stairs, trying to get dressed for a hockey game, going to a party etc.)
Dreaming about taking too long to do things often signifies feelings of frustration, inefficiency, or a sense of being stuck in your waking life;

Toronto telling people its going to take 2-3 weeks to clean up all the snow and people complaining. We had over 65 cm of snow. It's all frozen. There is so many surfaces. No, they don't have enough equipment to plan for a week where we get more snow than the entire previous winter. Yes, it sucks, and it's dangerous for pedestrians with sidewalks not properly cleared, but this is not something that can be done quickly.

For me its old jobs.
Oh I get the University ones too, glad to know I'm not alone there.
But the ones where I'm re-working an old job suck too.
