Took a big fall on ice 17 days ago and still not walking normally. Nothing broken.
Anyone have experience with soft-tissue injuries? My doc says two weeks, my own research says 4-6. It’s my thigh.

Try physio? They should be able to assess the injury and give you some exercises that while they suck to do, really help heal and get you back to normal quickly.

Many of the jobs that fit that description already are.
It’s called outsourcing. Happens literally all the time. The same benefits and risks of outsourcing still exist today as existed five years ago and they’re different than having full time WFH individuals on payroll.
Let’s not pretend that they’re suddenly going to invent outsourcing.

I don’t know that this is the same. I’d say low value transactional items have been outsourced and offshored, but generally more complicated, more interactive work has been kept in person. So I think there’s a potential shift.

Physio yes, but also appropriate hot and cold pack application helps to improve the speed of recovery as well. Many people do it just for the first few days then stop.

I lost some weight until I had to stop walking. In my 60s.

Nobody in their 60’s walks normally, walk it off.
A short glass filled with dark rum and kalhua will ease that nagging pain.

Chiro is another option along these lines as well. My chiro is a pretty straight shooter and not a quack like some that get a bad rep. This guy focuses on stretching and simple exercises at home, and stretching / adjustments when I see him. My issues are minor and sporadic so I don’t see him regularly.
Physio and/or chiro would be my approach. Maybe a visit with a doctor for an x ray if you think it might be that bad.

I had one a month ago. Put ice and heat on it and it healed in a week.

Me too. I’m not the specimen I was at 40 but despite carrying too much weight I’m fit and can out-walk men 20 years younger.
Good advice here. I’m getting the ice out now.

Some people in their 60’s are outside the norm, once again the exception proves the rule.

I'm a marvel of health and science. At age 66 I still have both of my hips and knees and both are working fine. Plus I walk the golf course during my rounds in the summer
