Not to impinge (?) on central's gameday, but I was just at the pub with Shauna and she cannot make Sundays games. Chid, Banffgirl and Rinkrat: are you all coming out on Sunday?

Shauna promised she will make her season debut next week and just crush the ball.

Side note of interest to flameskickass and temp user maybe. Swing, baby won 15-0 tonight (5 inning mercy) and we had an outstanding 6-3-5-2 triple play. Free beer on sunday to she/he who tells me correctly how that went down.

sorry i pmed him first!!! at 11:40 lasy night and then he wanted a story too so i made two this morning.....

runners on the corners, line drive but runner on first starts to run to early and when thrown to first guy on 3rd tries.

or....

runners still on the corners. short is playing close to 2nd, grounder hit towards him he steps on two and then throws to 1st. while this is happening guy on third is running for home. 1st baseman tosses it home and runner is out.

Looks like a straightforward double play with an indecisive runner at third. Basically, Flameskickass's story, but including the third baseman:

Short catches the ball, steps on second, tosses to first. First baseman tosses to third catching his opponent in a rundown, throw to the catcher, and tagged for the out.

In an alternate reality, if Aeneas was playing short.... ball bounds into the outfield for an RBI single.

Resolute was closest. Free beer to troutman and flameskickass though. Especially Flameskickass for the scenario attempts while drunk at 0230.

Runners on 1 and 2. No outs obviously.

Hard grounder to SS, runners go. SS steps on 2 throws bullet to 1. 2 out. No hesitation by 1B girl, she throws hard to 3rd. The runner on two had reached 3 and started for home slightly. The quick accurate throw suprised him. Rundown executed perfect, throw out at home.

Resolute, come for a beer Sunday.
