well I'm spending $14,000 there this year in tuition. However, I still can't pull for them, I've tried to get excited for them but it's just not there. I will always be a Gator.

Did a 16 km Circuit of Buller and North Buller Passes yesterday. Tried for the 9000+ ft unnnamed summit nearby, but the snow cover was pretty sketchy and the person joining me (my annoying step sister) had had enough with it being her first time in the mountains. A lot more snow up there than I expected.
This should be it for the year, minus any ski touring I get in between now and January. Since June, that's 110km of hiking with 9400m of elevation gain. Can't wait to step it up next year with some scrambles and overnight/multi-day trips. Lake O'Hara, Mount Robson Region and stuff around Jasper are on the agenda.
Lichen @ Buller Pass. Mount Assiniboine in the distance.
Mount Kidd and Mount Kidd South Summit. Ribbon Lake below.
Mount Assiniboine (seen at 420mm / 630mm DX equivalent: 300mm F/4 w/ 1.4x Teleconverter)
Pano from unnamed summit ridge. Looking west towards Continental Divide.

Cloudy Sunset. Seen overlooking Cochrane on the way home

so after a little reassuring, my wife agreed to going up to the kvr trestles in east kelowna on monday afternoon....
IMG_1893 by bc-chris, on Flickr
i'm pretty sure all these trestles burned down in the fires of 2003. i know there is a steel trestle (we didn't get that far) and even it had to have a bunch of work done to it. it has been a while since i was last up there... back in the day there were no hand rails, no 2x6 planks running the trestles to walk on and lots of missing railway ties..... ahhhhhhh... the good old days!!!

From vast panoramas to Geese in flight and now some very shallow depth of field.
All captured within a few feet of each other.

Sait has a couple really neat buildings now, nice to see. I love seeing that parking garage/soccer field going to and from work on the ctrain.

Yeah, SAIT is pretty cool looking. One night I want to "pretend" I'm a student and wander around taking photos.

Couple more Autumn shots.

The area in the foreground is part of the Tsuu T'ina Native Reservation that borders the deep Southwest of Calgary. This shot is about 22 Kilometres from downtown.

Beauty Seattle series!
It took me a second to figure out what that B&W abstract shot was.
Used to seeing it in the colour, displaying all it's disgustingly chewed colours.
