They temporarily had a Ogam Chicken there, but then left after only a year or so there.

However there is another Korean Chicken place on 14 Street a little bit south by 15 Avenue. It's called I M Chicken, and I feel it's on parallel with Olive, but Olive's pieces were a little bit bigger.

I've really been craving a BBQ type chicken like how Nandos was. A tonne of Korean places are around but for some reason BBQ means deep fired to a lot of these places. And no to the gross Safeway formerly loss leader chickens. Also, I hate Safeway and what it has become.

I spend a good amount of time nearly every day about 100m from a Safeway and otherwise drive past my "neighbourhood" Safeway whenever I get groceries... It has to be something really minor and really urgent for me to go to the more convenient Safeway(s).

Sorry, what has it become and what was it?

Safeways to me is still a grocery store distinguishable from the others through branding

I'm trying to understand this too, haha. It's always been a distinctly-branded western grocery store that sits above the price point of Wal-Mart and Superstore and below the price point of Co-op. My fam shopped there when we were kids, I worked in produce at the Kensington one from 1999-2000, and it's always been in the same, aforementioned market position, as far as I know.

Did you pluralize Safeways on purpose?

It was never good but it is way worse after the Sobeys thing. The bakery was passable and is now total garbage. Their pricing is manipulative. They used to have per unit prices but they change things up on purpose. Products are way crappier and way more expensive (like everything granted).

I'm going to guess Crave didn't raise prices to match increases in cost. I only went there a few times but the food was good and it was nice to see such a large variety

No idea, but they gave me vicious food poisoning when they first opened and I of course never went back. Didn't know they were still around

And sports chek. My mother used to pluralize all that then had to go use the Zero Ox machine to make some copies.

Calgary announces new downtown office conversion; separate project shifts from residential to hotel

https://calgaryherald.com/news/local...g-developments

Quote:
Calgary announced another downtown office-to-residential conversion Wednesday afternoon, taking nearly 100,000 square feet of office space off the market.

Included in the announcement was the news that a previously approved residential conversion is shifting to a hotel development, while another is moving into its second phase of development.
Definitely happy about this - we're short hotel space downtown as is. Really enjoying this program breathing new life into outdated towers.

LOL the first mentioned residential conversion project is that building across from Crack Macs! Pretty convenient to have Timmies, Mcd, and Subway right downstairs but I'd be wary of the locals.
